Jim Hill offering some details on Monsters Inc at WDW

You're right, adults should not be forgotten about, but in some ways, I think kids particularly little kids have been forgotten about. Most of the main attractions are geared for teens and up recently. Turtle Talk is an obvious exception. I have two small kids who can be left behind in some ways. This is especially true at MGM where they can't do Star Tours, ToT, RnRRc, etc. And other things go right over their heads like the stunts shows, sounds dangerous, millionaire.

Mk is the one park that truly caters to the littler kids while not forgetting the adults. DAK is close behind with the shows and animal exhibits. Epcot isn't too bad but Mission Space, Test Track and we'll see about Soarin' are the new things and aren't really for toddlers. Clearly, toddlers are the vast minority of guests (after all you're a toddler for only 3-4 years), but I think MGM in particular needs a ride or two that doesn't have a height restriction.

MGM definately needs something more than the shows for the little ones. I just don't agree with the current movie branded kids attractions all being piled into the same corner of Tomorrowland.

Great point, I mean after all...I ain't no kid, unfortunatly

What this really comes down to is what the attraction will be like. TT is really amazing. The technology is crazy! I think if they improve on it and do the same here, you will like it.

The point about the movie tie-ins is a good one, but do you have that same problem in Fantasyland? Off the top of my head, I would think Small World is the only attraction not tied to a movie, and maybe Mickey's Philharmagic. It seems to me they are turning Tomorrowland into the Pixar-Fantasyland?

I want to fly with Peter Pan or go on a joy ride with Mr. Toad or careen through toon town with Roger rabbit. These are ideas that appeal to my imagination. A sedate trip through monsteropolis where I have no influence on the plot isn't Disney quality.

Even with the new Dark Ride, DCA is getting something like 1/6 the daily attendence of Disneyland and that's on its best days. Not on it's average days.
Monsters Inc is better than Pan or Toad, with the Rabbit winning by a hare(couldn't resist). :goodvibes

Todays math class is in fractions. The DLand's attendance, 45,000 ave. per day, DCA, 19,000. 19,000/45,000 gives us 19/45, or just over 2/5, or .42

So if I value your opinion based on your judging of park attendance.....you get the drift. :)

No, Philharmagic is instead tied into a bunch of movies! But they're all actual Disney releases not Pixar...(Actually though, it's all done in CGI style, like Pixar does and the whole thing is really high quality)
