At the dramatic cocktail party, Jillian is in for some stunning news. One bachelor reveals that some of the guys may have girlfriends waiting for them at home. Shocked and tearful, Jillian abruptly cancels the rest of the party, and tempers flare among the men as they’re left to contemplate her accusations. In the deliberation room, Chris Harrison offers to help Jillian find out the truth, but he also warns her that she may not be happy with what she learns. What if it turns out to be someone she’s really falling for? At the rose ceremony Chris gives the men a chance to tell Jillian the truth. What happens when she hears what they have to say, and how will it affect whom she decides to give roses to?

I think I may 'get' that.
Remember, Jillian has probably really had her disappointments and her heart broken. Remember, she is not looking for that 'fairy tale, prince and princess' romance thing... she is looking for a 'Best Friend' to grow old with.

Remember that this is the exact reason (supposedly) that things didn't work out between her and the previous bachelor. Jason sent her home because he was looking for more than that 'best friend'. Her 'best friend' comments, with her refusal to acknowledge any more than that, was what kept bothering him.

Sasha said, several times, that he has been the 'dumper' and has let women go because "He is looking for the fairy tale". He 'thinks it exists'....

Jillian is coming from a completely different point of view... In HER mind, he is looking for something that does NOT exist... He is looking for the 'perfect' fairy tale love relationship. So, by definition, if, in her mind, it does not exist, then it could not work out to be true. It would be a fallacy and would result in her being the next 'dumpee' when he realizes that she is not a perfect princess. She as much as said this, outright, in so many words.

I think that this shows just how much of a shell that Jillian really has. Just how scared she is of such a 'romantic' relationship so that she will refuse to look for, or try, that kind of relationship, for fear of being burned again.

I do not really think that Sasha is looking for 'perfection'... Just that special 'soulmate' romantic relationship. So, I am not saying that there is anything wrong at all with Sasha's outlook....

It is just that the two different points of view could never meet.

I think it is obvious that by sending him packing so soon, (over idiots like David and Foot-guy, and many others) that Jillian was running scared.

~~Of course they had to get the underwater shot of her wrapped around someone! LOL!!

1) I agree that she must have it narrowed down to 4 or 5 guys and that who else she keeps is directed by producers. Otherwise, she would NEVER keep Tanner P over tanner F, or David over anybody!

2) David~ I'm pretty sure I agree with him about Juan, but he is handling it the wrong way. That's fine though, because we can see what jerk he is.

3) Juan~ Sorry, Juan lovers. Everything he does and says seems too controlled and calculated. Something's up with him. I just can't figure out what else he has to gain from the show, unlike Wes. Too bad too, 'cuz he purty!
4) Wes and Tanner P: SORRY, I just have to do it this week..

I agree with "wishing on a star' about Sasha! He was perfect for her,onpaper, butonce he opened his mouth, he tanked! I still think she should have kept him over some of the others and given more time.

I'm thinking that, when it came down to it, there was just no chemistry! But she used the "mystical unicorn" thing as an out.

Finally watched the episode:

Tanner is really strange but he does make me laugh.

Dave is scary. When Juan came and interrupted his time for Jillian I was scared for him!

I don't like Juan either, though, because he just seems fake.

If I was one of the other guys I would slap Wes if he sang that darn song one more time.

And why would Jillian not want to know who has a girlfriend? Especially if it is someone she is falling for, because much better to find out now than after she picks them!

I might be off base here, but it's interesting that out of the last "additional 5" guys added, 4 are still around. Didn't others previously mention that perhaps the original guys may have been pre-selected and then they added the 5 more tailored to Jillian's interests?

Yes, there has been talk that the producers were so sure that Melissa would be the Bachelorette, that they went ahead cast the men.

I don't know if that has ever been confirmed, but I wouldn't doubt that is the reason for the extra 5! Anything is possible on this ride.

That has always been a problem for me while watching. How many guys can you kiss? She doesn't even really know most of them does she?

AND she initiated almost all of the kisses that first night--especially obvious was with the cowboy singer (wes?)--so awkward

David and Tanner P are only there for the drama. In the preview for next week, David tries to kiss her and she won't let him - obviously she is not attracted to him.

Wes is just there to get all the screen time he can. When he went up on her balcony (convienient how the cameras were already upstairs when he came to serenade) you could tell by his body language when they hugged that he isn't really into her.

This whole show has become so sad really, especially after last season.

Woo Hoo!! David and Juan axed in one fell swoop!! I can't believe I was actually rooting FOR foot freak when it came down to the 3 of them! I just wished he had spilled who the losers are.

Pretty darn surprised about Michael though!......

I remember cracking up a t 2 things that were said in this episode, but I'm too tired to remember what they were. I hope someone else does!

I LOVE Ed!! He is definitely my pick. Plus the other guys seem to like him which says alot considering that they are scrutinizing each other pretty closely. Soooo happy David is gone...and Juan, although I would have rathered seen Wes go. Tanner P. was sweatin' bullets though when he thought they might find out who ratted. That was pretty funny.

It's really interesting that the guys seem to have the same opinions about each other as we do! Maybe they are actually showing us an accurate picture for a change, instead of manipulating us via editing.

One thing I noticed about Jillian is that she does not hide her emotions well. You can see when she is creeped out (like when she was with David), and it really shows on her face when she is upset about something, or sorry to let someone go.

It looks like she is REALLY into Kiptyn and Wes, and is kind of backing off a little from Jake. I don't buy that "too perfect" argument. When she went on her one-on-one with Jake she seemed really into him, this week she seemed like something changed. They both mentioned that they really had seen each other since the date so I wonder what happened?

I really wish that foot fetish Tanner would have busted Wes at the rose ceremony. Instead Tanner looked terrified which made me wonder if he was lying about the whole thing. Wes is just so slimy. I hope Jillian figures it out soon.

One more thing--did anyone else notice that she seems to be keeping a lot of the guys that are younger than her? Michael the break dancer is only 25, Mark is only 26, and I think there are a couple more too. I would have thought she would go for the older, more "settled" kind of guy.

dd and I were watching their faces closely as Jillian asked them to come clean and after Tanner, the one who looked the most nervous was Wes. He's such a slime-ball.

Okay, I haven't been watching closely this season but I did watch last night. Did Wes actually say in an earlier episode he had a girlfriend? Or he was there to have people hear him sing?
