Jiko - wine pairing?

This might be a silly question, but do they offer any sort of wine pairing at Jiko? We've always enjoyed this at restaurants that offer such options, but I am honestly not thrilled with the V&A menu (the only one where I noticed it specifically mentioned).

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

They do not have any official wine pairings other than at V&A and for the prix fixe dinner at Bistro.

However, I do know that at the signature restaurants they do have Sommeliers and they will recommend pairings based on what you are ordering. But these will only be for wines normally availble by the glass.

This is particularly true at Jiko, which has the largest selection of South African wines outside of South Africa. They are very proud of their wine collection, and will not hesitate to make recommendations to show it off!

+1 to this. They have great wines at Jiko and I have also always found the waiters to be very helpful in recommending wines.

As others have said, tell the server what you like and they'll recommend something great.
twice we'e done that and twice we've ended up with the best tasting wine's we've ever tried.
so wish I could have more of the Delhiem. wow that was good.

never tried V&A. seems to formal for our tastes. but Jiko is amazing.

I just did this on Thurs. 3/3 and Wow! What an absolute treat. Every wine that the Sommelier paired with each course went perfectly with the dish. The staff is really into this event @ FF so the personal touch is nice. I Can not wait to try it again come Oct. The Chef said that they change the menu often so each experience is differrent. I Highly reccomend This!

Ask for Jeff when you are dining. He never called himself a Somilier but he knew his stuff, he knows it well.

A few years back we ran into this signature food and wine dinner at Jiko - expensive but 7 courses, 7 wines and the winemaker from Rudera winery in South Africa, IT WAS AMAZING! But I haven't heard of it again...we keep trying to see if it comes back around but every time we call it never happened again. If you hear of it happening, please let me know~!!!
