Jiko vs. Boma

We went to Boma last year and I loved it. DH wasn't that impressed. His issue seemed to be the buffet concept. He liked several of the foods, though.

Here's my Q: Has anyone gone to Boma and Jiko and preferred Jiko? There are many things on the menu he thinks sound great, but just wondering. TIA.

We like Jiko a lot more than Boma. I'm not fond of buffets and the one at Boma seems to get really congested. I also feel a little ill after eating at Boma because of all of the different flavors and spices. Don't get me wrong, I love the flavors and spices, I just can't try so many at one time. So Jiko is perfect for me. They have awesome food with just the right amount of flavors.

Also, I find the food of better quality at Jiko and the atmoshpere is better imho. Try Jiko this time, I bet you'll like it

Well, your really comparing two entirely differnt dining experiences. If you don't care for the buffet, then Jiko is probably a good choice. We've found the service, food and wine selection at Jiko to be very good.

We have eaten at both several times and enjoy both for different reasons. If you like the food at Boma but dont like the buffet style I pretty sure you will enjoy Jiko, the food is awsome and its a very relaxed dining experience. I would not go if you are in a hurry or are on a tight schedule it takes time to enjoy.

I've eaten at both, and have to also say that they are two completely different dining experiences. One is fine dining, while the other is a nice buffet. Jiko is my favorite place to dine at WDW! Boma was ok IMO, but didn't compare to Jiko. If you go to Jiko and dine on a Sunday-Thursday, consider requesting Shellie as your server. She's awesome, and has really made our past experiences fabulous!

When I want to be served and have a fine dining experience,I go to Jiko(I was there yesterday and it was great!!). When I want ribs,I go to Boma. Both places are marvelous.
