I'll be entertaining business associates at Jiko this coming Tuesday evening. Does anyone have suggestions for great menu items?

Thanks for any tips and advice!

yum!! the beef filet w/mac and cheese is excellent. this is no ordinary mac and cheese. i would definitely concern that as an entree. the salmon is also very good. on the appetizer portion of the menu, the kenyan coffee BBQ chicken flatbread is fabulous. i have that sometimes as my entree. as far as dessert is concerned, just about any would be wonderful. hope this helps! happy eating!

Request either Ron or Michelle for a server. Your evening will improve dramatically by having their attention.
For dinner, we highly recommend the Kalamata Olive Flatbread, the Maize Tamales, the Pork Tenderloin, and the Beef Shortribs.
Enjoy!

The olive flatbread is excellent and I really liked the coconut curry shrimp... yum! :p

Another vote for the filet w mac and cheese. It was simply indescribably good! As was the Kenyan coffee.

Best wishes -

I like the Tower of Tuna appetizer (they call it Marinated Ahi Tuna with Heirloom Beans and Zough Yogurt Sauce).

We love Jiko's! We dream of going back and let me tell you what we dream about... the tuna appetizer ( I don't remember the name but it was mentioned earlier), the monkfish, and yes, the filet and mac-n-cheese. I don't know how to emphasize that this is no ordinary mac-n-cheese. It definately doesn't come from a box. We have also enjoyed the olive flatbreads and the breads with dips that you can order as an appetizer. Yummy!

Hubby loves the Lamb Shank, I love whatever fish they have steamed in banana leaves that night..always wonderful.

The spring rolls with banana salsa, the lentil pasta appetizer, I could go on and on...we love Jiko's and everything we try is always wonderful.

Have to totally agree with Michelle - she was our server on our honeymoon - made it a fantastic evening for us!

If you want to splurge - order a dessert sampler - don't think it's on the menu - it's pricey - but you get a little bit of EVERYTHING - and everthing is great! (i'm partial to the pistachio creme brulee and the 'chocolate purses"...however the goat cheese ice cream just wasn't for me - I forget what this was paired with - but it just wasn't for me! heheh)

The filet and mac& cheese is yummy - but I also have to reccommend the Chermoula Roasted Chicken if you aren't into beef - this chicken is SOOO GOOD!!

The Crispy Cinnamon Spiced Beef Roll are great as is the "Taste of Africa" - we like to try all the different sauces.

ENJOY Jiko - it is probably my favorite restaurant on WDW property!

Hi! We just returned from a trip to WDW & had a great dining experience at Jiko's; Naseer was our server & was terrific! Anticipated our every need; (brought out a black dinner napkin when he saw I was wearing a black dress, for example).

We had the duck & pork firecracker rolls (our favorite!) & the crispy cinnamon beef roll for appetizers. My husband had the aforementioned filet of beef w/ mac & cheese & it was excellent; I had the harissa encrusted bass which also was wonderful. We finished our meal w/ the pistachio creme brulee & those chocolate beggars purses - ate every morsel!

Hope you enjoy!

We ate at Jiko on May 20th and Nasser was our server too! He was wonderful. He brought out the kids' meals as soon as they were ready, and he gave our table so much attention.

I would also recommend the beef filet, but everything is good there!
