I'm a foodie. The missus isn't. I had a ADR for CG but I'm thinking we've been there 2x, let's try a new one. We already have Flying Fish. Opinions on these three? We have been to Jiko, but it has the advantage that we're staying at AKL. I'm leaning towards Artist Point or Jiko at the moment. I'd love to try the buffalo.

Last trip we tried many new places (except we ALWAY eat at LeCellier & Brown Derby). We LOVED Artist Point. It is now our new favorite and is on the MUST RETURN list. We had Plank Salmon and the bison. AWESOME.

We liked Artist Point much more than Flying Fish. Which was very good, but TOO pricey for what we got.

Flip a coin. You've listed the three best restaurants at WDW -- you cannot go wrong with an of the three. Since you'be been to Jiko, try Artist Point. It's our favorite.

I vote for Artist Point. I wasn't wowed by Jiko despite its interesting menu. Not that I wouldn't return BUT since you've already dined there, try AP.

Just in case you do not have a car, I would take the bus to MK from AKL and then use the bus to WL if you are in a hurry or the boat if you'd like a leisurely trip.

We have been to both AP and JIKO many times. Their menu items are prepared very differently so tough to decide. I love the salmon at both but it is prepared totally different. JIKO has some unique items on their menu like the cucumber, tomatoe and onion salad with watermelon dressing, it is quite good and you can only get it there. I miss the monkfish though.

AP is usually good. I'm hooked on the salmon there however the last time I got it, it was under-cooked, that was a first. I was somewhat disappointed, but I could have sent it back and didn't so, I'm sure that was a fluke. The mushroom soup is awesome.

I wouldn't hesitate to go to either one again. Haven't tried Citrico's yet, one of these days.

I pretty much agree with this as the three best (or at least 3 of the top 5). Jiko is our favorite and Citricos is next. They are all great though and you can't go wrong at any of them.

If you do go to AP, the buffalo is really good!

If you have the urge to try buffalo, then by all means go to AP. It's a topnotch restaurant from food, to service, to the wine list, and even the ambience. If you've never had buffalo, you owe it to yourself to try it. Blindfolded, I doubt most folks could tell the difference between it and beef. I highly suggest you order the buffalo medium rare--medium if you absolutely must--as that is when it's the most tender. Overcook it by just a hair, and it gets a little chewy since it's a very lean meat. Try it with a merlot or shiraz, or just ask your server for her/his wine selection--they're quite knowledgeable. After dinner, stroll around the lobby, out by the geyser, the beach, and even along the nature trail. Very lovely place to be. Good luck with your choice. paw:

All are great! AP had very good food and our waiter Ronald was a hoot! Jiko was outstanding in every way....Citrico's was fabulous too. You will enjoy any of them.

I agree- -you can't go wrong at any of these spots. Since you are tempted by the Buffalo, why not make it Artist Point??

thank you everyone. I presented the missus with her choices and she settled on Artist Point.

Excellent choice!! The missus will not be disappointed. The food and service we have experienced at Artist Point on several visits has been outstanding. We celebrated our 25th anniversary there with a window table by the waterfall. We closed the place down on our last visit, but the CM was very patient with us. You have to try the fruit cobbler. It is delicious as is the coffee (no Nescafe here)! :thumbsup2

We have been to Citrico's only once before Chef Phil took over. The food was fine, but the service was not.

The mushroom soup is awesome at AP. I know "mushroom soup" might sound lame, but it is fabulous.

Artist Point has always been my favorite restaurant at Disney. Then last year we also tried Citricos. Now the two are tied for my favorite. It would be tough for me to pick between the two. Next trip, I must try Jiko.

We had Pok as our server last May at AP. She was great as she kept our DS very amused, she even made him eat all his dinner!! He wasn't allowed his ice-cream unless he ate his meal!!! It is a lovely restaurant, very ambient.

Excellent Choice! AP is one of our favorites. I get the buffalo everytime - never past medium-rare. As stated above, it gets tough if cooked anymore than that.
