Hi
My parents are coming to disney with us next month and since its spur of the moment they are trying to find a reasonably priced flight.
My mom has always flown continental and feels comfortable with them while my dad wants to try jetblue b/c it would save them $500. Which airline do you like? How is jetblue? I have heard people saying jetblue often changes your flight times which makes them a little hesitant. They are leaving out of Newark. Any thoughts on jetblue would be great!
Also jetblue participates in Disney's Magical Express so everything would be taken care of like it was with continental right? (disney printing out boarding passes, taking/weighing luggage, etc).

We were devoted Continental fans until we tried Jet Blue. Now Jet Blue is our first choice.

If you fly FC, then Continental all the way, but if you're flying coach, JetBlue offers more ammenities and is typically on par in terms of cost compared to Continental (and other legacy carriers). Continental does have interline agreements with other carriers, which if a flight is cancelled or delayed, can give you some options to getting to/from your destination, where JetBlue, does not.

JetBlue, IMO, changes their flight times very little compared to the legacy carriers (this includes Continental), in part to that they do not release dates/times until about 6 months out, compared to 9 - 12 months with the legacy carriers. Also, you have the consolidation going on between United and Continental now that they are merging, which could result in more flights being cancelled/changed on Continental then the past.

All things being equal, my airline preferences are thus:

1.) Virgin American
2.) JetBlue
3a.) SouthWest
3b.) American (due to the wife's FF status)
4.) every other carrier
5.) staying at home
6.) Spirit

I agree

I've flown both from Newark. I loved Jet Blue, but they are always much higher priced than Continental. So I fly Continental. Jet Blue's seats are much more comfortable and I didn't feel like cattle. But to pay another $150+ per person for that comfort for 2 hours -- nope I'm going cheap. :thumbsup2
