Does anyone know when Jetblue will also release their September schedule?
IME JB only announces the date they'll be opening up the schedule a couple of days before (I usually get an email). I checked my emails, and last year they extended through the end of October on March 7th (I bought my early Oct. tix they day they released). I believe that release included at least part of September (I'm pretty sure late Sept. was included, not sure about the first part of the month though). HTH a little bit!![]()
We are waiting as well for jetblue to release their flights. we are flying in september as well. Someone told me that tuesdays are the best days to purchase our flights. Is it best to buy the first day they are released?
Usually, yes, that is the best time to purchase JB tickets. As they sell them, the price will usually increase. On occassion it will drop, even lower than your initial price, but then you can call them and get a credit for the fare difference. You will then have 1 year to use that credit towards another JB flight.
I have NEVER been charged a change fee when getting a credit when the fare drops. They charge $100 per ticket for a change fee on a non-refundable fare. The credit is good for one year from the date you change the ticket.

I was last year. Maybe you're lucky!
I have never used JetBlue. Do they charge you a change fee in this scenario, if you get a credit for the fare difference?
I see some information about travel credits on JetBlue's site, but it's not jumping out at me that they will give you a credit when your fare drops. I do see they charge a change fee for changing your flight.
I am used to SWA where you can rebook your existing flight if/when a lower fare appears and you get travel funds. With them there is no change fee.
