Does Jet Blue allow you to change your flight like SWA does without a penalty? I don't want to cancel my flight, just change the date of my returning flight. Thanks!

There is a fee ranging from $75 to $150 per ticket. It depends on when you change it and how much the ticket cost. It is all laid out on the jetblue website

I have also heard of them waiving the fee under certain circumstances. If your are a TrueBlue member and have Mosaic status, it is more likely that you could convince them to do so. And if the new ticket costs more than the old one, it's also more likely.

My philosophy is that it never hurts to ask.

If she was a true blue member with mosaic status she could
Change for free but since she is asking the question I'm guessing she is not someone who flies 30 segments a year (plus 12k in points) or has an extra 15k in points laying around. Most people who fly enough to receive status on an airline know at least the basics of their preferred carrier

I honestly didn't know that Mosaic got that as a benefit, but that's cool as well.

Ah, but it's currently so easy to transfer points into the Jetblue program from various other rewards programs using points.com that it's possible to be able to qualify for Mosaic status.

Also, with the current promotion going, if you have a certain level of status on a competing airline, Jetblue will match it with Mosaic membership right now.

Just a few thoughts on how to accomplish it without having to pay the change fee or ask politely if there's any way around it.

Okay, thanks all - usually fly SWA, but got a better time for the flight home on Jetblue - I will just change the flight down on SWA a few days sooner and not have to pay any difference, and keep the Jetblue flight home. Knew I could count on my fellow DIS'ers for quick responses! :goodvibes
