Just got oneway Orlando to Hartford for President's week February 25 Under $110 per person including taxes!!!
We already had our flights booked for the way down on February 15 with Delta. Which we used some Delta miles to bring those tickets down to $35.00pp. So we are flying nonstop roundtrip for about $145.00 pp!!

Excellent job Jenn!!!! We booked on JB from BOS-TPA on Feb 15th, non stop, for $99 pp, the flights home from Ft. Myers are $129 pp for a non-stop so we are looking at about $250 for round trip, non stop flights from the Northeast to Florida for President's Week. I am very happy with it.

I was ready and waiting at the computer at exactly 12 noon and the fares stink! Last year I booked for April too and I got better fares:confused3 And last year was the week leading up to Easter:scared1: WHY so high? I will keep my eyes peeled on those flights to see if they come down at all, or else we have to wait for SW. We are looking into April 13-22nd anyone else going then???

I just checked and from MCO to BDL Sat 2/25 flights are still $99 one way. I hope more people here on the DIS can jump on this. It's a steal for coming home that day!!

Unbelievable... I saw $180 nonstop MCO to BOS last night for President's Week last night. This morning when I went to book? ALL GONE. JetBlue wants $593 per ticket, one-way?!?!?!

*** just happened? People didn't book every low-cost ticket on every nonstop return flight to BOS while I was sleeping, did they???

I got $129 for non-stop out of Buffalo on April 29th, we live in Rochester but the JB flights from here were $193 and included a stop and layover in NYC. Even with having to pay to leave our car in Buffalo we still saved money.

We're coming back in May so I'll have to wait to book our flight home. I kind of like it better this way (booking 2 one way trips) I have the freedom to choose another carrier if they're cheaper for our way home. I will keep watching JetBlue to see if the fares drop so I can call and get a credit :)

Flight prices can change very quickly. Why didn't you book it last night?

Hey, thanks for the heads up!!! I have been waiting for those and grabbed 3 2/25s at $124 each!

You can call and have them put the credit in your trueblue account. It would be $5 times however many tickets you purchased.

I was thinking of doing that, it would be a $20 credit. I have been researching the ticket prices for a bit and was hoping it would drop down to $109. If I call now and ask for them to adjust the price and credit me the difference and then it drops again can I call and have them adjust it again or is like a one time only thing?

Yes, you can keep calling everytime it drops. So get your credit now and if it drops again (or again) call and get new credits. Keep in mind that if the price drops, there must be availability. Since you purchased 4 tickets, do a mock reservation and make sure that the seats are available for 4 tickets. Sometimes the price drops for only 3 seats, so they won't give you the credit for those 3, it has to be all 4. This is why when I'm booking a party of 6 I booked my reservations in 2 sets of 3, just in case there's a drop and I can get a credit for only 3!!! I know, I'm crazy, but I've saved alot of money doing it like that. You'll find the JB reps to generally be extremely nice and friendly. Keep in mind that the credit goes into your trueblue account, so make sure you have one and if not, set one up.

Awesome!! That's why I posted to hopefully help some others who are flying President's week!! We go every year so I know not to pass on a good price when I see it!

I can't beleive it. The tickets I purchased last night were $129 for a non stop, one way, from Ft Myers to Boston. The exact same flight is going for $577 right now.:lmao::eek: I'm SO glad I pulled the trigger last night.

I booked at $99 one way and they are only up to $124. I'm very surprised that it's still such a good fare for coming back Saturday 2/25 MCO-BDL. I would've figured by now they would be up to about $300 for the one way.

flying President's week!! We go every year

Us too, it will be hard to beat President's week 2011 weather-wise, sunny and 80s everyday!!! We have been going for over 10 years and have never had such great weather as we did this year. Thanks again.

How bad were the President's Week crowds last year??

Definately down a bit due to the economy but still somewhat busy. We visited Harry Potter on Thursday of Presidents week and walked into the park! It got busier later in the afternoon to the point where they were holding people back but it opened up later that day to just walk in and was open until 9pm.

But that great weather, after the winter we had, that was what made the trip!

I know this year was beautiful!! We actually skipped Disney this year and spent most of our days relaxing by the pool. Next February we are going to Disney for 10 days but we will spend many afternoons by the pool if the weather is good. We can do a pretty relaxed Disney vaca since we've been so many times.

With the jump in SW prices we are now seriously looking at Jet Blue. DH and DS had a great experience last month with them to Ft. Lauderdale.
