Looking for experiences from anyone that has traveled using Jet Blue. We have our third Disney cruise planned for next October and with SW prices not appearing to come down we are looking at Jet Blue for flights.
Just looking for some opinions between SouthWest and Jet Blue.

I prefer JB over SW, for one you select your seats when you book ( don't like SW boarding system at all, it's insane) and they have TVs at every seat and you do get one free checked bag. Plus like SW you can get a credit if fares drop.

I assume you are flying out of BDL, if so Delta is another option but they do charge for bags and no credit if fares drop, without stiff re-ticketing charges which seldom make it worth while. But sometimes they do have significantly lower fares. And they are notorious for changing flight times without notice. With that being said, I am using Delta from BDL next Aug because of the lower fares even factoring in the baggage fees.

I fly predominently with either Jetblue or SW..out of Green or Logan. JB is a terrific airline. You do get the one free checked bag, the tv's at each seat and the ability to book an extra legroom seat for an addtl fee. But, they do tend to make changes to their flights.
SW doesn't make many changes, if any, once they are put out. And you get the two checked bags free. I have no issue at all with the boarding process. I have always been able to get a good boarding pass group/number.
It's 6 of one, half dozen of the other. It all comes down to the cost of fares for me. Whichever one gives me the flight times I want, at a price I'm happy with is the one I fly.

For me, if cost is equal, I pick JetBlue (Boston or Burlington, VT) over Southwest (Boston or Manchester, NH) for the reasons that the previous posters mentioned. And I prefer JetBlue's customer service (probably not much real difference between the two but my perception is that JB's is better) and my JetBlue flights have been on-time with greater frequency than my Southwest flights (again, not by much).

If JetBlue works for you pricewise then I think you'll be happy. I'd note, though, that the likelihood of changes in flight times is fairly high when booking this far ahead of time with any airline, so watch out for schedule changes between now and next October.

I really love Jet Blue. I like that their price includes one checked bag; that I can select my seat (most are included in the price); that they offer unlimited snacks and drinks; and that they offer DirectTV service for free with individual TVs in each seat.

I actually will pay more (within reason) to be able to fly Jet Blue.

I fly Jet Blue from the DC area to MCO as it is the least expensive airline and it is nonstop. SW has stopped flying nonstop from our airport.

Also, they have tons of yummy snacks and Coke products/Dunkin Donuts coffee/Arizonia Iced Tea.

Also, if prices go down and you get a credit, you have a year to use the credit...meaning, you have a year to book a flight and use the credit...you do not have to fly within the year. Also, the credits are transferrable (unlike SW...beginning Jan. 2011, if oyu get a credit on SouthWEst, those credits will only be able to be used by the original ticket holders. The only portion of the credit you'll personally be able to use is the portion credited for your own ticket. Other credits for individual family member's tickets will only be able to be used to rebook new tickets for those individual family members)

I also prefer JetBlue over SW. JB you can pick your seats, the planes are cleaner and newer (my husband's an aircraft mechanic) and you get to watch tv or PPV movies on your flight. Can't stand SW's way of seating.
