So... I have a few details of my trip to fully iron out but on Friday I looked up the prices for our tickets (for 4) on Jet Blue in October. I got nervous to book because when I looked at the details, the tickets were not refundable. I didn't want to lose $1300, so I wanted to get home from work and confirm things with the dh. When I went back on to book, the ticket prices had done up from $170 per ticket to $285. :faint: I could just cry.

Now we are looking to add a day at the beginning of the trip because it will be so much cheaper to leave the day before, but it means we will need to stay at another Disney hotel (Pop) and then transfer all of our luggage. I have two little kids and don't even know if we can take a taxi with all of our luggage and no car seats... Arrrggh! I was so looking forward to this vacation and don't want to cancel, but am so overwhelmed! Just venting. What are the chances the ticket prices will go back down???

Bell services can facilitate moving your bags between Disney hotels. You don't have to put them in a cab, simply tell bell services what resort you're transferring to. You don't have to accompany the bags- you can go off to the parks for the day! (and if you use Disney transportation, you don't need car seats.)

Just keep stalking the Jetboue site. Check again next Fri morning. Chances are the flight will go back down again, Jetblue has a way of doing that.

We've done it with a 2 year old and it's not bad at all. You'll be fine!

Pack an overnight suitcase for your first night, or if you don't need another suitcase pack you essentials for that night in a duffle or 2 gallon ziplocks inside your big suitcase. That way everything is easy to find and you don't have to rummage through everything. If you can manage with all your other "gear", this could be your carry on...always a good idea anyways to take a change of clothes in a carry on in case your bags are lost or delayed.

As PP said, call bell services and they will transfer your bags. Then head to a park or Downtown Disney and ride back to your new resort.

Check back with JetBlue. Many airlines raise their prices over the weekend and then lower them on Mon or Tues. good luck!

your luggage transfer can be done by Disney, one less thing for you to worry about. What I find easier is to pack everything for that one day in your carry on and leave all the other suitcase closed. Like that you have less searching to do for that only day. Keep check with Jetblue. The prices ahve been moving alot lately. my sister booked on Tuesday and paid $240 and this weekend she got a creditof $65 because the price had gone back down.

We had the opposite issue with ticket fares being lower the day after we checked out. We chose to stay at a hotel by the airport instead of adding a day to a Disney hotel.

You could do the same, fly in, chill at a hotel for the day/ evening ten utilize ME in the morning to Check In at disney

Just wanted to throw this out there in case you decide to use a cab to transfer.

Last time we did a split stay we decided to move ourselves using a cab and asked the CM to call a cab with a carseat. A mini-van cab pulled up and he had at least three car seats to pick from in the back (so you can ask for a cab with a seat, not sure how many of them have more than one, but this guy had quite the selection!):thumbsup2. And there was plenty of room for luggage. I've been seeing more and more mini-van cabs around WDW so that's an option if you need it. Good luck.
