I'm enjoying your trip report so far.

I saw your title since I'm a Jersey girl too and was toying with the idea of doing a Disneyland trip in July.

I was going to combine it with a trip to Orange County Fair to see a concert, but I'm not totally convinced of it yet. I've been to CA a couple of times but never managed to get to DL.

Welcome! You should absolutely try to get to DLR, it is wonderful and there really is something special about Walt's park!

AHH Sunday, my first full day in the parks. Now for those staying at any of the DL hotels you can take advantage of Magic Mornings on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. (it is their version of EMH) I do plan at being at the turnstiles in plenty of time to take advantage of MM. Fantasyland and Parts of Tomorrowland are open.

I am hoping to ride Matterhorn (both sides) and Alice and Mr Toad (I sooooo miss this ride at WDW).

Ok, so I just love the irony of going to the happiest place on earth and ending up in H E double hockey sticks. I always wondered how a ride like that ended up there.

I want to be at Space Mountain before the fast pass machines open and grab one (if there is time I may ride too, but I doubt there will be time to do all that in an hour) and then head over to Indy to ride. I have read that the single rider line is open again, but until I am there and see for myself I don’t want to count on that one. Space and Indy were my favorites in 2005. I don’t even remember how many times I rode those 2.

Other rides I plan for Sunday are POTC, HM, BTMRR, Roger Rabbit and Space and Indy as many as I can. No, I haven’t forgotten Nemo. I’ll get to it.

I also plan on signing up for the Walk in Walt’s Footsteps tour. It is offered 2x on Sunday, 9 and 2:30. I think I will opt for the 2:30. This way I can tour the park before the heavy crowds and when the crowds are heaviest, I will go back for a rest at the hotel and come back for the tour.

Our paths will cross. We will be there Sept 9 - 16. We should try and meet up at some point. We can't do Space Mountain but there are other cool events.

We have the free dining plan and staying at AKL. So we will be making ADR June 11th. Yeah, I plan way to much but you have to going during free dining

So I haven’t been around for a couple of weeks. Real life just sucks the days away…

Since I last checked in, I have reserved my Super Shuttle for arrival and departure days using the discount from the Orange County website. I’m a little bummed that the Character Warehouse one is now gone, but will keep checking before I go.

I also booked the Walk In Walt’s Footsteps Tour! I’m really looking forward to this.

I have started to pack, got my outfits all picked out and ready to fold, just need the check the weather the night before to see if any extreme cold or warm fronts are heading to Anaheim. I’m pretty much packed though, trying to do carry on only. I really don’t want to have to pay $30 roundtrip to bring a bag.

I have all my electronics ready, just want to charge ‘em up when it gets closer. I have 2 books to read, Kingdom Keepers, yep, I haven’t read it yet and I got Walt Disney An American Original.

I checked the airline site and not really thrilled with the movies they have listed, He’s Just Not Really That Into You and Last Chance Harvey. Anyone seen either one and have a review. At least I have my iPod and books.

Now back to the itinerary

When I first started thinking about heading west I gave a heads up to my favorite Californian, Tracy. I knew there was no way I was going to DL and not see Tracy. Over recent months we have been emailing and Monday is one of the days I will be hanging with my fellow Focker, T. Now for those that don’t know T she is an uber planner, her plan hangs around her neck. No, I’m not kidding, I stand in awe of her.

T and I have plans for Monday and Wednesday and honestly whatever we do I know we will have fun. I'm sure they will be some good people watching with T We do have a PS at Wine Country Trattorio. The menu sounds yummy and I am looking forward to breaking bread with my friend.

Oh and only 12 days until I board the plane!

Hi! I just started planning our first trip to DLR for August 2010, and I am so happy to find your PTR! I'm a jersey girl too, just a little south of you-

Anyway, I saw "He's just not that into you" with a couple of GFs when it was out- and we all really, REALLY loved it! It was very entertaining, we were all actually a little surprised it was as good as it was!

I'll be in WDW when you're out in DLR- hope we all have a great time!
