Were not just leaving vacation, were leaving our friends.

Hi everyone-
Everything here is going well--Things aer a bit crazy..my class has theiri "graduation" next week so things have been crazy getting ready for it since i got home. Im in complete post cruise blues! I miss it like crazy!

On the bright side..i weighed in at 163.5!!! Thats a 10 lb loss :)

awesome loss!!! HUGE congrats my friend!

Yeah, I guess it was nice seeing you too. :rolleyes1

JUST KIDDING!! :lovestruc

Thanks for coming down. I know I sort of drug you around with me running errands, but it was great to be able to chat with ya and have some good laughs! ::yes::

Sorry i ahvent checked in--things are CRAZY this week!! my kids "graduate" tomrorow so i have been running nuts..promise i will check in this weekend

WHEW! so glad this week is over--It was SO hectic!! My kids graduation went well--they do an excellent job, i was so proud of them!It was definitely hard saying goodbye to the kids I have had since September though
I am done as a coteacher and will be a "floater" for the next two weeks ..June 30 will be my last day at Goddard--Its very bittersweet to leave as I have been there for six years, but it is time to move on.

After that, i will have some time off or i will be working at my moms work part time. I am hoping something works out with teaching, but if not, I think i will sub starting in the fall. HOpefully that will help t oget my foot in the door somwhere. But one of the townships I interviewed with have a board meeting on Wednesday--i can check the website thursday to see if my name was listed! If not, no job. Another teacher and aide position opened up in another district, so i applied there as well.

Also, just found out my entire family is going on another cruise and i will not be. Its in January so there is no way I can take off a whole week of teaching. Unless I am at a school that is not as strict with that, as long as my lesson plans are done..So thats something to hope for. Also, if i am an aide or sub, i will be goign..So i just want everything to work out AND to go on this trip-Both sets of grandmas, and my grandpa are going!

Well sorry for being so long winded today--just having a rough time--have a great weekend all

 Jen,

Please don't worry, sweetie. Everything will work out with your job situation. I know how tough it can be though. When I graduated from college, I had two different interviews with the school district I attended K-12. I figured I was a shoe in for a job. Well, after a few weeks of not hearing, I called and was told that the positions were filled. :( Believe me...I started to panic! However, less than 2 weeks later, I got a call from a Christian school for an interview with the exact grade I had been hoping for...5th grade! As soon as I walked in the door, I knew exactly that this is where the Lord wanted me and I spent 3 wonderful years teaching 3 different sets of amazing kids. :teacher:

Please don't worry, Jen....It will all work out! I hope it works out so that you can go on the cruise too. Family time is sooooo important!::yes::

I hope you have a great Sunday! Take extra special, good care of you!

Hey buddy. Have a GREAT weekend! I know you'll be sad that this is the last weekend of DD's soccer and that means no more hours of texting with me. :worried:

Somehow I think we'll still chat. ;)

I also have decided i cannot worry about my job situation anymore..I am making myself CRAZY lately and i cannot change anything. So if worse comes to wrose, im going to sub in September--thigns could be worse, right?

I haev no idea why I am awake, but i think im heade dto bed soon--we have 4 different picnics tomorrow to go to--and that was after we turned down 3 others! So busy day comign!! have a great night all!

Hey, kiddo! Sending you HUGE amounts of pixiedust: and :goodvibes for the job situation. Believe me, God has a plan for you even if it isn't apparent right now. At the beginning of my career, I lived through many months of hell in a horrible job situation and I wondered the whole time why I was going through that. The reality is that sometimes we have to go through hell to get to wear we belong. I have been in my current position almost 17 years and I still think it's some kind of reward for saving an orphanage full of children in another life or something. :lmao: Truly, though, the right job will come along for you. In the meantime, every life you touch in whatever position you are in, even temporarily, is a precious thing.

Have a great weekend and lots of fun at all those picnics! :sunny:

So yesterday, I went to the school district and found out that I am not being offered a job. She said I did very well on my interview and scored high, but there just are not enough positions. I was pretty bummed yesterday and cried alot, but i decided there is nothing else that I can do . I am trying to just relax and whatever will be will be. i picked up my sub papers and will finish filling them out this week.

I have decided to walk at least 30 miutes everyday snice i am home now...I started yesterday and it felt great, so i will be doing that as soon as my cleaning is done today. I am down to about 164--so i have lost about 10 lbs so i am thrilled. Tonight, I am goign to go spend some time with my grandmother, so im looking forward to that.

I wanted to thank you guys for sticking with me throughout this job thing. I know i have been a bit bummed lately and i thank you for being there.

on the bright side--my disney trip is coming quickly! i canot wait to be there with my cousin!

hae a great 4th everyone!

Hi Jen,
Great job on the 10lbs.Sorry to hear about your job situation. You would think that the one thing they will always need is good teachers. The budget crunching these days is awful. We lost 13 teachers here for next year.

Your journal is inspiring- I need some inspiration these days.Boy once you stop it is so hard to get back to where you were.

Have a great 4th,

Linda
