Jenny McCarthy new View host-officially!

Barbara Walters announced it today. I think she is a breath of fresh air. I'm sure she'll make the panel pretty lively. YAY!!! Going to miss Joy Bahar though.

Jenny is not someone who takes things seriously, I think she will turn everything into a joke. Thankfully I do not watch The View.

I didn't think it could get any worse than hasselback but this comes very close. There are so many things I do not like about Jenny McCarthy and there is no way I will be watching it with her on.

Yes, Jenny is the one that thinks vaccines gave her son Autism, but personally I don't think her son is Autistic and she exploited many many people in the Autism community.

I am not a fan of her and certainly won't be watching. I think I remember reading somewhere that she believes that vaccines gave her son Autism, but that she also believes that she cured it by putting him on some diet that was like vegan and gluten free or something like that.

It's been reported that her son is not autistic. He developed a seizure disorder that caused him to lose his speech/language and other skills. She did a terrible disservice to the autism community. She jumped on the anti-vaccine bandwagon and touted the evils of gluten. She claimed her son was "in recovery from autism." No such thing. The symptoms of autism can greatly improve, but it doesn't just go away. Then it was determined that her son never was autistic. She never apologized for spreading false information. I don't regularly watch The View. This guarantees that I won't watch it at all.

I can't stand Hasselbeck, but Jenny McCarthy is even worse. I have no desire to watch a former playboy playmate run her mouth and try to be funny. Her cousin, Melissa McCarthy, is very funny. Jenny is not.

Bad move by the producers of the View. I read Brook Shields was also in the running. She would have been a (slightly) better option.

I don't watch The View hardly ever and haven't for years but it'd interest me much more if they'd bring on a serious Journalist (not many left in today's world but they could try) or how about an Intellectual ... maybe a Professor from Columbia or NYU or something than yet another actress/model/comic Playboy Bunny type - especially with the departure of Barbara Walters. Maybe they'll replace BW with somebody less Hollywood-y.

Whoopi Goldberg at least gives off the impression that she has a brain but as for the rest of them I really have no interest at all in hearing them discuss anything.

I have nothing against Jenny McCarthy other than I think she's a certified kook. She's very pretty and will make the set look pretty with her presence.

HORRIBLE choice!!! I turn her off anytime I see her. Her own talk show was cancelled. That she tell you something. She thinks she is so funny and I see nothing she says amusing. New Years Eve when she co-hosted with Ryan Seacrest was the worst. They could not find someone else???

Yeah, she's a kook. She did a lot to set back autism by evangelizing her own brand of "Vaccines give your kids autism religion" while ignoring the many, MANY medical journals which discounted vaccines as a cause of autism. Just one more reason to not watch The View, IMO.sad2: Can't stand her.
