On Air Tran, we can have a carry on and a personal item. I use my big camera bag as personal and the backpack as carry-on.
I wouldn't trust any lenses through check baggage either!

I am really regretting booking with spirit, It's still cheaper, but I hate that you have to pay for everything, including carry ons and the weight limit. If the weight limit was 50 like other airlines, I would've not paid for the carry on. I could've made it work, but I am worried about the trip home. I won't know how heavy my bag is till it's too late.
I just hope they are on time on arrival day.

I am thinking if I like AS Movies that 1 night, we may try it next as a family. Pop proces are going up next year compared to the other Values, so I'll have to weigh out my options.

I will be trying to. I tried last trip and sometimes it would take hours before my pictures actually showed up on facebook...and i have to remember to do it as well. I'm still new to all this fancy phone stuff, and I get a little intimidated at times, but I sure will try to post some things along the way.

Here is a picture of my new sunglasses. Hopefully I don't forget them and leave them at home!

And another purchase I made last week. My Point and shoot camera has been not working properly since our 2009 trip. Because I don't use it too much, I haven't upgraded it. But it is getting slower and slower and at times when I click to take a picture, it just turns itself off instead. I decided to take the plunge. I had known this was the camera I would get to update it for quite some time. Actually I was first looking at the model prior to it, but when this one came out, I decided to go with the newer one. It has 12 megapixels, while my other one has 6. And it still has manual options like my other one did. And though it may not be the fastest camera, it is faster than my old one and doesn't take several minutes to recharge after using a flash (though it still is longer than some)

I got the Canon SX130 IS.

I used it for the tractor pull we went to on Friday. I put it on my tripod and videoed Skips pull (Claire was in charge of keeping it turned to be on him) It came out nice and so far I am happy with it.

I only wish I could buy cool sunglasses like that.......... but I think it loses something in the clip on version for those of us with glasses!

Yes, 4 days for me!!! We leave Friday evening.

Love the new purchases Jen! I haven't decided if I'm going to drag the SLR along to the AEP, or just use our super cheap point & shoot.

I am on a roll today with getting things done - Henry has a friend over, and that allows me to actually complete a thought. Clothes are getting in piles, paperwork is being weeded through....it's almost time!
