Does anyone know what stores would sell jello jiggler molds? I somehow signed up to make these for DS's preschool class and I didnt realize what they were and what I was getting myself into. I could use cookie cutters but the molds sound so much easier.
Any ideas?

Use the cookie cutters. If you use the molds, it is harder to get them out, they often do not resemble what they're supposed to, and they are a pain. If you feel compelled to use them, you can usually pick them up where the Jello is sold. Often times, they give them to you when you purchase the jello, as a seasonal promo. Good luck. Don't stress.

Last year I bought the Halloween molds at Target. I got to mold trays plus several boxes of jello (orange and grape which mixed together become black). I'd try there or Walmart. The molds are fun and really easy. I think they were ready in about 15 minutes.

A few tips:

- lightly grease the molds before using
- put molds on cookie sheet before filling
- don't overfill molds
- use clean wet fingers to remove jello from molds

I've never had any problems with these molds (we have the jello bean one as well).

Thanks for all the advice. It sounds like I cant go wrong either way, molds or cutters. Ill look around for the molds, but I wont stress if I cant find them.
And thanks for the link too. Im just worried if I order them online I wont have them in time.
And what a great tip, CEDmom. I was actually thinking how could I get black jello. As for greasing the molds do you use something like Pam?
Can you tell I dont make jello often? ;) The jigglers were the only thing left on the list to sign up for and I would have felt bad doing nothing, LOL!

I use the non-stick, mini-muffin tins. They work really well.

Insted of using the Jiggler receipe on the back of the Jello box, I use Knox geleten. I think that it makes better jigglers (they are firmer) that are much easier to use cookie cutters with. Just another way to do the project!!!

CamColt,

You can use Pam or just vegetable oil. Wipe the excess out with a paper towel. If you make more than 2-3 batches reapply the oil. We make a lot of these jello things because DD loves to make things and these are quick, easy and not too fattening.
