Oooh, I bet lots of planning will be happening this weekend. :thumbsup2

You will love WPE! It is cheap like a CS but it has the food quality of a TS. I have my trip binder packed. Planning is a must!:goodvibes

He is so cute! I bet Christmas will be a blast with him this year.:santa:

Hey there! Shelley and I had a great weekend of shopping, scrapbooking and Disney planning. We actually have a possible itinerary, based on TGM's recommended days for 2009. A dining window that opens 180 days out isn't that much help when you don't know when EMH's, etc. are!! But we've at least got an idea. We had a ball doing it, too, which helps! One of us will post our ideas in the next day or two, I'm sure. However, right now I need to go upstairs and deal with the crayon-covered mess that I found when I opened up the dryer tonight. :scared1:

But I wanted to stop over and ask if anyone has seen Disney's A Christmas Carol yet? Haley's class is Christmas caroling at a museum downtown in December. The museum has an IMAX, and they've decided to go see the movie while they're there. I'm really concerned about her seeing it, as everything I've read says it's not for small children. She gets emotionally wrapped up in any movie she sees, and often gets a bit anxious when the hero/heroine is "in peril." She's so excited about caroling, but I really don't think she'll make it through the movie. Has anyone actually seen it?

Thanks, everyone!

Well, as Jen stated above we had a fun and productive weekend. We do have a plan (although we know it can change based on hours and ADR's).

We planned something for the morning and the evening. We want to get an early start each day and then come back to the resort to rest and swim in the afternoon. We want everyone to feel like they can stick with this plan or go off on their own if they would rather do something else. Everything is flexible.

Alright, this is the plan as of now:

Sunday 6-13 (This is a travel day for some of our party so we are thinking we will all be able to have a late lunch together). MGM and Sci Fi Dine In Then back to the resort.

Monday 6-14 Epcot (Future World) Counter Service Sunshine Seasons or the Electric Umbrella. p.m.Chef Mickeys for dinner then MK

Tuesday 6-15 We will head to DTD (this will be the day the little girls go to BBB and the boys go to Disney Quest). We are eating at WPE. We will go back to the resort to rest and then go to 1900 Park Fare and MK.

Wednesday 6-16 Resort Exploring with CS lunch. Then head to Epcot (World Showcase) dinner at Tutto Italia and view Illuminations.

Thursday 6-17 AK with either Flame Tree or CBR food court for lunch. We will go to Kona Cafe for dinner and then MK.

Friday 6-18 Magic Kingdom early breakfast at CP. Our evening is free to catch up on anything we missed.

Saturday 6-19 Free Morning or MGM if it is a Star Wars Weekend.
O'hana for dinner and end at MK with Wishes.

How does it look?

I haven't seen A Christmas Carol yet....we are planning to go but not until December I think.

Love the itinerary! :thumbsup2

Black Friday is one week away! I found this site that tells about the Disney Store's deals. There is a video that is pretty cute too. It looks like they are going to have a lot of great sales going on. :santa:

Cute!! We're definitely going to have to hit them at Midnight on Thanksgiving...Bryan says we need to get there earlier than you guys did last year, though!

I'll be back to post later - have to cantor tonight. But I now have photographic proof that my family is so far gone with their Star Wars craze that no one is immune. You'll see what I mean later!

Jen,
I am looking forward to the Star Wars story.

LL,
Are you going shopping on Black Friday?

Here is another Christmas special that I am looking forward to. Jen and I saw a poster for this at the Disney store last weekend. I looked it up online and it looks really cute.
Prep and Landing

:santa::santa::santa:

Prep & Landing does look cute!

No shopping for me on Black Friday...I have to work. For the last three Thanksgivings, I'm the only person in my department. It's usually a pretty quiet day so I can't complain.

I am sorry that you have to work. On the bright side you won't have to battle the crazy crowds.

How about a trip to Epcot?

Happy day-after-Thanksgiving! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!! We enjoyed time with my brother, who is visiting from CA, and my mom and Dad. Two aunts, an uncle and my grandfather also joined us for dinner - it was great to spend time with them, since we don't see them that often. Then we left the kiddos with my mom and dad and headed out for...Black Friday!! Yes, we were some of the crazy people out in the wee hours of the morning on the coldest morning so far this year in Indiana....:confused3 I never was a Black Friday person until about five years ago, when I finally accompanied my in-laws on their yearly outing. I was amazed at how much fun we had!! Now I tell people all the time how much fun it is...as long as you don't have a huge list of things that you MUST have. And this year, I learned to follow my own advice. Since I'm getting my master's degree, I wanted a laptop of my own. Right now I have assignments on our desktop, my husband's laptop from work, and even one on my teacher machine at school. I wanted to keep them in one place. So, we scoured the ads and found one that DH thought would work, but that wasn't at a place where I would have to camp out. We were at Sam's club later than we wanted to be, but the line wasn't awful, so I thought we'd be ok. Unfortunately, when the girls passing out tickets got to about the fifth person in front of me, they annouced that all of the laptops were gone. So, so much for that idea. But the morning could still be saved - we were going to get several things crossed off our lists for the kids. The things we wanted weren't really "doorbusters," so we thought we'd be ok. And we were...seven stores later!!! I really need to follow my own advice and just go for the fun and to see what we can find instead of having an agenda. I was very frustrated at times this year, which hasn't happened before. Oh, well - lesson learned. And we did manage to hit the Disney store this morning at 12 a.m., and got several things for the kids' stockings. Talk about PACKED!! There were plenty of decent deals, though. I was wishing that DD was a little younger again, because some of the things were so cute!! Unfortunately, she's at the age where I'm not sure how much longer she'll like Princesses and dress-up, so I'm trying not to get her BIG things that are tied to that. Will got a few things, though - he's majorly into Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and I think he'll like what we got.

Anyway, on to the second part of today's post....I told you a while back that I would prove to you that my family is too far gone with this Star Wars obsession for me to do anything about it. Now that the pictures have finally been copied to the computer (I admit, my IT guy husband does all the tech stuff around here - I know almost nothing about how to do anything!), I can do that.

You've all seen the pictures of Haley and Jack dressed up as Star Wars characters for Halloween. Well, my MIL is a big fan of after-the-holiday sales, and she told me before she visited us a few weeks ago that she had something for Will to go along with it. Sure enough, I came home from school on the day she arrived, and this is what I saw.....

Yes, she found a Yoda costume for toddlers. Surprisingly enough, he LOVED it, and wandered down the sidewalk to meet Daddy when he came home (which, of course, made DH's day). He also was very fond of the Yoda stuffed animal that Sue brought.

So, of course, the other two had to get their costumes and get into the act.

And finally, the master and the padawan...:rotfl:

Ok, I've gotta go. DH went back out to the stores (I swear, it's a way for him to unwind...I just let him go) and the little ones are kinda cranky from the past few long days. My mom ended up getting hit by a stomach bug last night not long after we left, and I think Will might have a touch of it, because he's just not acting himself. So it's time to get off the computer. Have a great rest of your holiday weekend!
