Just thought anyone visiting BCV would like to know they have added a self-serve refillable mug station in the new store!!! We were jealous ;) when we went over to Cape May for dinner.

We're hoping to see the Boardwalk do this. We love having the mugs in the morning and around the pool but it's such a pain at the Boardwalk - they give it to us in a cup which we proceed to transfer to the mug :sad2: Maybe they'll add a station in the new croquet area? :cheer2:

Well hopefully they add this to all the DVC resorts. I also hope they put Cherry Coke in them especially after they got rid of Dr Pepper after 96.

When we stayed at BWV we were not happy about the put it in a cup and have to transfer bit at Boardwalk Bakery either. We asked the folks there and they told us it was "Florida law". Clearly not as all the other's we been at just fill the mugs.

One CM we spoke to about it speculated that it was because they had to take the mug out of the customer's site in order to fill it where none of the other places do. But that didn't explain the put it in the cup and transfer at the "kiosk" on the Boardwalk - Boardwalk Joe's Coffee.

It really started to bother us after a time, not just the convenience factor but with our family of 5 just counting two drinks a day (I am sure we had more) that was 60 cups and lids that were just tossed in the garbage. You should have seen the interesting faces when we started bringing back the cardboard trays to reuse and carry the next morning's coffees in. :confused3

Upon our return I wrote an email to MS about it and was told that both the Boardwalk Bakery and Boardwalk Joe's Coffee were not owned by Disney and this made it an issue. ???? Anyway I suggested that they should have a self serve station somewhere in the BWV complex.

So glad to hear about the one at BC and hoping they will impliment one at BWV soon. :cheer2:

Yeah, well, well, SSR just got mug stations in every room! Yeah, that's the ticket!

I hope they put one in at the BW too. Maybe we'll even have a choice between travel and regular mugs.

LOL! Dr. T and Scratch! :rotfl:

That is great news about BCV having a refillable mug station. One of the reasons we didnt purchase a mug there in the past is because of the lines at B&C people had to stand in to get a refill.

You can bring your mugs back every year. Actually, you do not even have to use a disney mug. Any type of container will do. That's what the CM told me. :earsboy:

Great, one more lifetime refillable mug to buy.

I'll only have to buy one though. I'll just keep transfer soda from it into my lifetime WL & POFQ mugs.

They already tried this at OKW but had to stop 'cause the rooms are sooooo large that everyone's soda got warm by the time they made it back across the room. :teeth:

I had the same thing happen to me two weeks ago in the Bellevue Room for coffee each morning. Now surely the Bellevue Room is owned by Disney since it is in the hotel itself. It was very annoying each morning. Overall we liked staying at BWV, but that trek outside to the Bakery to get a refill is a real pain. We only bought one mug and I just used it for my coffee each morning. Not worth the trip to get soda refills. But then again the price of the canned sodas in the little shop on Boardwalk was outrageous also. And since we didn't have a car, we couldn't go to a grocery store.

That's exactly why we didn't buy any on our last trip either. We'll definitely get them next time. Hoping BW will do the same soon!

The new area at the Beach Club store is VERY nice. In addition, to the drink station they have sandwiches, pastries and gelato! (YUM!) Really BW needs something like this!

That sounds great! I hope BW does something like this soon. :)

I thought you could get refills at the pool bar at BWV's?

And a little more info on how coffee works from the bakery would be appreciated. This cup transferring, what are we talking about exactly?

Darn!!! Now I'm going to have to buy a new mug at BCVs. It was, at first look, way too much trouble to refill it. But not now. Maybe just two of them tho.
