JaxTeach's PJ-- SBP/CG/UK Upper December 14, 2007 *After Wedding Update 12/15*

I'm new to your PJ, so congratulations on everything :)

I love new dress #1! I don't know if it's the ivory or the beading, but you look like a princess in it! :goodvibes

Congratulations!!! Everything sounds so exciting. I love reading the journals here, I have been there done that! But not Disney-Style. My husband and I are celebrating our 10th anniversary soon!!!! We are blessed with 4 beautiful children and hopefully more on the way.... But I just LOVE new dress #1 on you. They are all very beautiful but that one is STUNNING... Good Luck and Congratulations... Jennifer

Thank you all so much for your input! Since I am second guessing my first dress, your opinions are extremely helpful.

I honestly liked 2 of the new dresses almost equally. When I first started planning, I had never really put much thought into what I wanted and felt rushed since we moved our wedding up 1 year. After planning for a while, I started wanting a bit of sparkle and a train.

#1 was the dress I wanted to try for ages. I loved the gold color. When I actually tried it on, it made me look too yellow and I didn't love it as much as I thought.

I really love dress #2 and #3. I felt comfortable in both. I think I felt more like a bride in dress #2, probably because it is stark white and more traditional.

I will be so happy to get a new dress because DF and everyone else I know has seen the 1st dress. I'm sending this one home with my mom so I can't show everyone!

Thanks again, if anyone else wants to chime in, please do!

I love New Dress #3! The top works better than the top of New Dress #2, and it has a lovely clean simplicity that New Dress #1 lacks. Or maybe I'm being swayed by the big ol' smile you're wearing in New Dress #3 :thumbsup2

most definitely dress #3 !!! it's absolutely gorgeous!! :thumbsup2

Michelle :cloud9:

I vote for new dress #3 :thumbsup2 You look gorgeous and so happy in it! Good luck with your decision, I know how hard it is -- I myself am a two-dress bride ;)

I really love the 3rd one, and you look great in it! I'm going to have to avoid wedding dress stores completely after I order my dress. I have a closet full of formal dresses because every time I need one for a special event I always end up buying at least 3 different dresses :rotfl:

I like the 2nd one on you and I love the back of it but you look happiest in the third one. Go with your gut feeling, both will look great on you so it's not like you can make a wrong decision. Good luck and btw I love your rings!

my favorite was actually #1 but between #2 and #3 I Iike #3 more because to me #2 looks too stiff

Out of the new dresses, I really like dress #3. It looks very princessy and you look so happy in it! I know it is not as traditional as the #2 dress, but I really like it. I think the back of #3 is unique. I really like the skirt and the embroidery. I do like your original dress also -- I liked the pick up skirt on it.

jumping in to vote for #3...it's so flattering and wispy...plus, you look the happiest in it! :goodvibes

I'm gonna say dress 3 too, mainly because you can tell by your face that it is the dress you love the most:goodvibes I do love dress 1 though, mind you I love the pick up skirts too. I am also a 2 dress bride so I know how difficult this decision is. Good luck, you will look beautiful no matter which gown you choose!

I also vote for 3. I prefer the non-pickup skirt on you for some reason :) Good luck with your decision! You'll be a beautiful bride!

Personally I would choose dress one because I love the color, but you said it didn't look that good in person so I would go with three because you look so happy in it. I also think it fits your curves best and makes your waist look the smallest. Always a bonus on your wedding day!

Overall, I definately think the strapless is a better look on you then the original dress you had chosen.

I love dress three as well, very princessey and you do look the happiest in it and it flatters you so well.

You will look a million dollars no matter what you wear on your wedding day so go with what your heart says

Thank you all so much for your opinions!

We went Wednesday morning to exchange my dress. I have read so many negative things about David's Bridal (which I absolutely believe as I've seen them in action for friends), but I have to say our new David's is wonderful. My mom and I had planned to drive to my grandparents already (9 hours away) so my consultant opened the store up early so I could try the dresses on again. She started pulling my dresses and wouldn't you know it, someone bought the white dress (#2) the night before. That was okay and sort of confirmed my choice of #3.

I tried the dress on again with my veil and jewelry to make sure it all would work. I also checked the ivory with my flower girl's dress. Everything worked. The seamstress also showed us how the back would be bustled (since it 3 staggered tiers of organza).

David's allowed me to exchange my first dress (which I wasn't sure they would do). They also let me "exchange" the sashes and other things I purchased for the original dress. I was really surprised because I know they are strict about these things. They haven't pushed any alterations on me like I've read about happening to others. I know my experience with them is more the exception than the rule, but I am so happy! :cloud9:

Awww, congrats! I'm glad that David's isn't being difficult where you're at--one of my best friends got her dress from there, and she had the worst time dealing with their customer service--it was a nightmare! But you look beautiful in that dress--so happy!

my vote is for dress # 1 & then #3
