The thing about the eating out is that I am never sorry that we stayed in AFTER we eat. It's just tempting when we're all starving and tired. So the earlier I plan the better. Once we're full, whether that be a nice dinner or a peanut butter sandwich, nobody cares where we ate. I try to remember that when everyone is asking for pizza. Once dinner is on the table they are happy to eat whats in front of them.
I worked all afternoon on reducing our Universal trip costs. I managed to save 180 on the reservation and was thrilled! 3 or 4 dinners out and I will have blown that savings ..so I am trying to keep that in mind this week.

DITTO!:thumbsup2 Every penny we spend foolishly I remind the family that is money that is being taken away from our up coming trip to Univeral and the World. That will usually make them rethink the spending.

01/02-0-:cheer2: Calling it now. Brought my breakfast and lunch to work today. Not stopping for breakfast on my way to work 3 mornings is going to be a big deal for me. And going right home from work.[/QUOTE]
01/03-0-:cheer2: Spent the day with great friends going over our dinning ressies and what shirts we are planning on making for our up coming April trip to the World. 3 families, with 11 people. :cool1:
01/04-0-:cheer2: Brought lunch and breakfast to work. My DH said our local BK is going to go banckupt without me. lol
01/05 :cheer2: Calling it now. On Thursdays my work day is 2-7pm.. And by 7 it will be to cold to go anywhere but home. And usually Thursdays is my morning to hit the local stores shopping, Target by my house, and Walmart by my office. And that would lead into buying lunch out at Subway or BK both by the office. Today I stayed home putting Christmas stuff away and continued to reorginize my basement, washed all the bed linens and respace bagged all that we don't use. Seems like Storm Alfred threw our house in a tizzy that we just couldn't recover from. Bed linens were just folded and put every where downstairs. (we had extra guests during the storm. It was one big slumber party).
01/06 Today was a spend day. $45.00 in gas for the van, Target $5.00 (before coupons $16.48). Costco $30.00. Went to potluck dinner at our Disney friends. Got to discuss our trip again!!!! yah us!!
01/07 Costco $17.00 for my Dsis birthday cake. Had everything else on hand.

01/09 -0-:cheer2: No spending and I even got to go out to lunch and dinner today. Took my DFIL to the dr's and we always stop for lunch, his treat. And then when we got home my DMIL suggested we all go to dinner at Olive Garden, their treat as a thank you for all that we do for them. BTW did I mention we gave them $100 GC to Olive Garden for Christmas lol.

Good news! The pathology report said it was benign. Even better news! I didn't have to pay another co-pay at the Dr. office. Reeally needing to go to the store. There's really nothing in there to make meals with anymore... Two packs of hamburger, but I'm unsure what to do with it. I'll try to come up with something.

Today I did my very first "extreme" couponing trip to Walgreen's. A good friend of mine took me and showed me how to take advantage of the sales/coupons/register rewards. My total before all the discounts for everything I bought should have been $88, I paid $22 out of pocket :cool1: . I got tons of stuff. The Aleeve, razors, and alka-selters were my biggest deals.

Today I spent $30 something on groceries. I got enough stuff to make the rest of our dinners for the month. I will still need milk and fruit next week so I am not going to hit my goal. We also ate breakfast for $3.28.

I havent been posting online as much as I should but I have been pretty successful for my first month of "No Buy".

I have had 5 days of successful "No buying" I think, if I remember my goal was 10 days. I think I can, I think I can.......

But on a good note even when I am on a buying day when I go to the store I tend to buy less so it is making a change everyday!

It went from almost 60 degrees here yesterday to 20 degrees and snow today. Suffice to say I stayed in and worked on job applications.
