January Marathon Weekend Question???

We will be at WDW over the marathon weekend and staying at Pop Century. I remember reading that the marathon wouldn't affect crowds in the parks much, but could affect bus transportation to the parks at opening. Anyone have a clue which park(s) are affected (bus transportation-wise)?

Parks shouldn't really be affected .... the runners are heading out around 3AM. The only one that I can think might even be the slightest affected would be EPCOT, since this is where the races end, so people may be heading over there around the same time as park opening. The parks were definitely more crowded over the marathon weekend ... by Tuesday, the crowds were very light.

Actually, the half marathon is on the 7th and the full is on the 8th. Both races start at 6AM. Half marathon runners have 3.5 hours to complete. Goes from Epcot to MK and back. Full goes from Epcot to MK to AK to Disney Studios and back to Epcot. They have 7 hours to complete the marathon.

I'd try not to schedule an early PS at MK on Saturday since the runners will go past the Contemporary and then past GF and Polynesian back to Epcot.
