Hi GUys,
I'm new..my name is Bill.
Just had two quick questions if anyone could help me.
1. Are the pools in All Star Sports heated and can I swim January?
2. Does anyone know if HSM 2 is gonna still have the parade in January....thanks so much....

All of Disney's pools should be heated. So, depending on the weather, you could swim!!

I dunno about the HSM parade.

thank you so very much.....have you ever been in January..I'm very very excited.....btw this place is great :goodvibes

The pools are heated but the All-Stars area is considerably cooler and breezier than the parks for some reason, so you may notice that when you get out of the pools.

January should be a great time to go and get lots done - take advantage of evening Extra Magic Hours, or go to Downtown Disney and explore the waterfront, Lego store and other cool attractions.

Have fun!

Weather in January is sort of a crap shoot. It can be cold (50s) on day and warm enough to swim the next day. It all depends on what your idea of swimming weather is. When we go in January we assume it won't be warm enough to swim and if it is we look at it as a special bonus. :cool1:

We were at POFQ last Jan and 4 out of the 5 days were great in the pool. The 5th day was in the 50's so you never know. We were at Poly a week ago and since it was in the mid 80's the pool was not heated. It was much nicer last Jan even though it was in the 70's since at that temp they seem to be willing to heat the pools. I was so dissappointed in the Poly pool last week being so cold, even the "hot tub":sad2:

Yes. The pools are heated. I haven't been in January, but was there for an unseasonably cold December one time and people were swimming at All Star Music.

Yes. The High School Musical 2 show will still be running. It's a Year of a Million Dreams addition, and since they extended the promo, the show will still be around. Besides...it's way too popular of a movie series for them to pull the show now. :) And...it's a cute show!

We go every January and have swum every time at least 2 of the 5 days we are there. I have been told several times that all pools on Disney property are heated to 82 degrees at all times....can anyone confirm this?

You can definitely swim. On the evenig of Dec 20 (five days ago), there were people in the pool at midnight and the temperature was in the low 60's. I was too tired to swim after the MVMCP, but others were doing it just fine.

:welcome:

When we were there in Jan 07, it hit all time record lows in Florida, it was 24 degrees when we got up the day before we left. The day we left, we had to scrape ice from our car windows! It was crazy cold toward the end of our stay, but beautiful at the beginning. We are going in Jan and are packing for both situations...btw we never did swim but plenty of people were. I would say that HSM2 parade will be going on during Jan, b/c I haven't heard anything on the contrary...I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! I think you will enjoy your Jan stay...we go near the end of Jan, after that marathon and other things are gone...this year while we were there almost all of the rides were walk on, or 10 minute wait with exceptions at a FEW headliners, Disney wasn't even using the Fast Pass except for Soarin that we saw. Have a fantastic trip!

Okay...which park has the HSM2 show? My kids love HSM, I was hoping they'd have something. We're leaving Jan. 5.

Thanks!
