Yeah, I'm struggling with the same sort of question. DH set up a "walkstation" for my birthday -- a computer by the treadmill so I can surf the web while I walk. (It has no good place for a keyboard yet, so I only lurk while walking.) It doesn't work well to walk quickly while web-surfing, though, so today I used the "walkstation" but only went 2 mph (at a slight incline.) I decided to count some of the time walking at this slow speed, but not all of it. I wore a heart monitor, so I was able to tell how hard I was working (heart beat about 55% higher than resting and about 55% of theoretical maximum for my age.) Maybe count half the time that you spent moving boxes, more-or-less, depending on how hard you felt you were working?ok friends, i need some opinions. Today I worked from 9:30 am until 2:00 pm helping my sister move 1 truck load of garage stuff to her new house ( carrying and lugging) and helped do construction site type clean up ( picking up tools, wood, heavy duty cleaning etc) at the new house up stairs and in the basement. I feel I did " work out" doing all of this but to I also feel like I'm cheating to add 240 minutes. I would welcome anyone's opinion....
I'm at 924/1100. Getting there!

I'm interested in knowing what other people count as exercise, too. I used to count gardening as exercise, but as my fitness has improved, I've stopped counting it (except maybe for heavy-duty work like digging and hoeing.)
