January 8, 2011 - 7 Night Western Caribbean Sailing

Unfortunately, they missed at least once! Last cruise, the man at the table next to us was wearing jeans, a white shirt hanging out of his pants, and no tie.

As you would expect, I was quite horrified. :scared1:

It was pure karma when one of the kids clubs called for the parents to come get their child, who was ill with a fever, and they had to leave.

Not that I wished the child ill, it was just a relief to have them out of the dining room. Oh, my delicate sensibilities. :snooty:

Let's be generous and think that they were so worried about their child's health that they "forgot" it was the formal night. :rolleyes1

I do wonder why some people resist trying to occasionally look nice, if not for themselves at least as a courtesy for those around them. I don't expect everyone to show up in ballgowns and tuxes (if I did, I'd be cruising on Cunard), or the men to even wear a tie, but I would appreciate my fellow diners to be clean and neat.

IF you would be so kind!

If not, at least take a dip in the pool sometime during the day...

Replied back with tongue planted firmly in cheek. :flower3:

This will be our first time on a Disney Cruise. We are FREQUENT guest to WDW each year - but this is our first adventure on the ship. Bobby and I (Teresa) are taking our two children Joshua (15 yrs) and daughter Emery (10 yrs). We will be staying in stateroom 6560 - we will be participating in the Fish Extender and if you have other suggestions for our children, please let me know. Thanks

I just got all of my FE gifts and I wanna say, HOW FUN!

I wish my kids could have helped me shop but, they don't find out until CHRISTMAS!!!!

Ahhh, I cannot wait to be there!

Jamie

Welcome to our cruise board. :cool1:

Because some of us were making our FE gifts and others had to order theirs we had decided that the cut off date for FE entries was the Fri after Thanksgiving. I'm not exactly sure how the group would like to do this but because I handmade all of mine, and the next 2 weeks are packed with Christmas and getting ready for our vacation, I will not have time to make any more FE gifts. :guilty: So when planning your FE list please just take my family off because I would feel bad getting something if I couldn't reciprocate.

The same for us too. :( We already ordered ours. Sorry. :(

I had contacted Teresa privately to ensure she was aware that we had closed the FE group for these very reasons. I don't expect everyone new to read 48 pages of posts!

If some of you are able to and would like to exchange FEs with Teresa, please let her know. This way her family can still participate in the fun. Teresa will have to keep her own list (just copy the one on the first post and amend accordingly) of course.

I think the way folks have already responded is great and very fair.

Laura, do we have a stateroom or two designated to note changes if people upgrade at the port? This has worked in the past on cruises to get the info to everyone.

Weren't we going to do this at the Meet at 3pm the first day?

On the other hand, having a "bulletin board" of sorts for those who don't make the meeting is a good idea.

Good question as I know this can happen, even on our supposedly sold out cruise.

In my experience, this is usually handled at the Meet on the first day. I remember last year having to change several cabin numbers on our lists at that meeting. I will be bringing copies of the lists as well -- bring a pen!

I think it should be the responsibility of those changing cabins to ensure that others in the FE know where they are. Being on vacation, I know I won't want to have to take time to notify everyone if some people have changed cabins; that should be their responsibility.

So, unless someone is offering to play secretary, my best advice for anyone not able to attend the Meet is to bring along a copy of what's posted in the first post of this thread and, should you change cabins at the port or once you're onboard, you can then notify everyone in the FE as to where you will now be.

Seem fair enough?

Theresa - I made some extras and had my mom / grandfather do the same for their gifts. So, we will be able to exchange with you.
Deck 5
Cabin 5646 -- TAPIA Grandfather
Cabin 5648 -- TAPIA Parents (Rhoda & Arnie)
Cabin 2650 -- TAPIA (Staci, Eric, & 2 year old son Ryan) ----> This should be cabin 5650

Laura - can you change my cabin # please.

Staci -- I changed your cabin number; had you told me that before and I missed it?

Teresa -- I do have an extra FE gift, so add me to your exchange list!

Chesha -- What is your cabin number for the FE list?

Laura -

It's 5650 - you had me on the right floor, just the wrong first digit -- sorry!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are we still missing MOONVXN's number?

Wait, I had it right and then I saw you wrote 2650 and changed it. Oh, my aching head, I'll go back and put it back to the 5th floor again. :confused3:surfweb:

T-Brooks13....you can add myself and my son to your FE list. We'll include you in ours! :thumbsup2
