January 8, 2006- 4 night Wonder- Anybody else coming with?

I've finished one of our door signs. Just counting the days unitl I can put it up. :hourglass

Yes, you definitely have to invite us all up for a tour of that "dreamy" cabin...LOL!

I know what you mean about those door sings...I posted a picture of mine on the cruise board, and I can't wait to use it!!!

So how many of y'all have your passports?? We were going to get ours, but now that it's not required yet, then we may end up waiting...just wondering if anyone else was doing the same!

We have passports already but we are not American, so we have had them for quite a few years now.

My parents are in the process of getting passports for themselves right now. They have not really had a need for them before. Technically they don't actually HAVE to have them to cruise but it is just easier, so I am making them get the passports ;)

Really since we live quite close to the border of the Unites States (one hour to the closest border crossing, several others withing 1 - 3 hours away), we tend to cross over quite often and having passports just simplifies everything.

I should really think about making some door signs. I will have to look at the ones on that thread and put some thought into it, I guess.

We will be bringing our passports. It could make security go a little faster. But I doubt it.

We have passports, just seemed like the best thing to go ahead and take care of back when I got married...since I was busy running around changing things up anyway. For some reason I get nervous carrying around my birth certificate, and it's definitely easier to pull out one document instead of two. Plus I like to know that having a passport on hand makes it possible for me to jaunt away at a moments notice for a week in Tuscany. Ha...Ha....one can dream, right? :teeth:

Well, it's another 100 degree week here....these days January looks great for MANY reasons. :headache: ;)

The temperature is hovering around 80º this week. Nice temperature, I'm loving it. ::yes:: But fall is in the air, the leaves are turning and it will soon enough be cold. :cold:

I agree that it is nice to have a passport on hand. Nice to be ready, because you never know what is going to come up. It'd be a real bummer if you had to miss out on something exciting just because you didn't have a passport on hand :earboy2:

Gosh y'all, can you believe that we're almost down to less than 100 days...It's getting closer and closer. I am sooooo excited! I checked online yesterday, and all DCL showed available was a cat. 5!!

No.......I can't believe that we're almost down to less than 100 days... Is it to soon to start packing???? I'd start, if it would make time go by faster. :rotfl:

The nerve of these people who keep knocking us to the second page ;)

I saw that they now show cat 4 open again, but who knows what that means. I was curious, so I went to Travelocity to see just how many cat 5/4 are available.

It showed only FIVE cat 5's available! :crowded: The cat 4's won't say how many there are, just says "GTY".

I wonder if there really are travel companies holding on to blocks. I'm just so surprised by how crowded the ship is going to be. By now, the schools (except colleges) should be back in after Winter Break. Course, seems like most of us are just traveling with adults, so that should tell you how many people need breaks AFTER going through the holidays :rolleyes1

Cruises tend to sail "sold-out", with all available cabins filled. Since Disney only has 2 ships in their fleet, they probably have even less chance of sailing with empty cabins. Unlike other lines, hordes of passengers travel with very young children - the school calendar doesn't apply when you're age 4 or 5 <g>. Many will take the school-age kids out of school for a week, too.

Disney will limit the # of kids on board, but it's a very high limit! Basically they have a certain capacity in the kids clubs and won't take bookings for more kids than they can accomodate. Those of us traveling without kids generally don't have trouble avoiding kids, who tend to be in the most crowded/congested areas (such as near the characters, at the family or Mickey pools, etc).

So are you guys counting down the days yet....Sunday was the big day to start making ressies for those people who are either Conceirge guests or have the REAS package. It still seems so far away!!

Heck yes ::yes::

We have broken into the double digits for the beginning of our vacation at the POP Century

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

The cruise will very soon be out of the 100's too. :smooth:

How awesome is that...I know that you are excited!!!
I have this really cute countdown clock on my desk that keeps me reminded of how much longer to go!

I'm counting the days. Also managed to get another trip to Disneyland in, due to DH having to travel to SoCal for business. Disneyland in Nov. and Dec. will help pass the time. :cool1: Also it is a chance to check out pirate stuff for the deck party. pirate:

:wave2: I've been lurking on the DISBoards for about a month now in order to get information for our upcoming cruise! We are cruising on Jan. 8th as well and cannot wait for our first Disney Cruise!!!

My DH is running both the half marathon and then the full marathon at WDW :confused3 Since he will be unable to walk for the 2 days following the races, I convinced him that instead of recovering in the hotel room while I ran around the parks with DDs (6 & 4), he could rest on board the ship where it would be relaxing for all of us!

I am really looking forward to taking the girls on their first cruise and I am thrilled to be trying DCL for the first time. DH and I have been on 4 RCL cruises and never thought we'd sail on anything else.

Welcome aboard to you and your family attagirlx2

I can't think of a better place to relax and recuperate from running those marathons.

You and your girls will have a wonderful time aboard the Disney Wonder.

See you real soon!

:wave2: Hi and welcome attagirlx2. Glad you joined the thread. We're all counting the days untill we sail. Looking forward to meeting you and the family on board!
