January 8, 2006- 4 night Wonder- Anybody else coming with?

Just Kidding!! :rotfl:

I wouldn't probably even notice...even if we were traveling together. I am not very observant at times.

My youngest DD probably will be wearing the same outfit everyday. She is a little fussy and sometimes it is just easier to let her wear the same thing than get into a battle especially when it doesn't matter.

So, is anyone going to point and laugh at me if I wear the same dress for dress up night as I do at Palo's? :rolleyes1

I probably wouldn't notice either, since I'm not going to eat at Palo and probably won't see what you are wearing :teeth:

I could be wrong (which is very possible), but I thought that I had read somewhere that they sometimes serve lobster over at Serenity Bay. But maybe that's just for the Magic since the Wonder isn't special enough to get lobster! :earboy2:

No lobster....oh well that means more room for dessert. :goodvibes

Had a successful shopping day today. I wanted to look for something else for the cruise. And came away with an outfit. Yeah !!!! :cheer2:

Actually you are right, there is lobster served at Castaway Cay. :teeth:

It comes in the form of a lobster patty or burger though.

I never tried it but my husband really liked it a lot.

All that talk about Lobster reminds me of this one time we went to Red Lobster for a friends birthday. Here we are a party of 10 plus One small child and our server was amazing he remember everybodies order without writing it down. My sister and I had to switch places before our order came because the small child (my niece at 2) wanted to sit by the birthday girl. Our server didn't even miss a beat. Everybody got what they ordered. He got a big tip. :teeth:

No lobster. sniff. what's a cruise without lobster.

I've never been to Red Lobster :earboy2:

The closest one to me is an hour away. But since I don't really like seafood it would be near the bottom of my list of restaurants to try.

Shameless bump...

Pass me some of those red lobster biscuits...mmmmmmmmm

And hand's off my shrimp scampi!

I booked Palo for 7pm on the first night. Being just adults, I'm assuming we'll have the TAAP rotation, based on all my former Disney cruises. This is SB's first cruise, so I don't want him to miss the "show" in Animator's Palette, and I like the coconut crusted snapper on the Pirate night menu. That left the 1st & last nights available, and since we're doing the brunch on the last day I knew I couldn't handle a big Palo dinner that night! Now if we get on the ship and I find we have some other dining rotation, I may have to rethink things, but I'll hope for the best.

As for dress, I have no shame wearing the same outfit to Palo and again on the dress-up night, and neither will SB (well, he won't be in a dress, but you know what I mean). Anything that saves on the packing/unpacking/ironing works for me!

Lobster - I doubt it'll be seen on the 4-night cruise. It's generally reserved for true "formal" nights, of which there is none on the cruises shorter than 7 days. I doubt anyone will go hungry though. Even though the food is far from gourmet, it's not bad....and it's so nice not getting a bill at the end of the dinner!

Wow. I'm all of a sudden very anixous to go. We're paid up and got our passports. We've picked our rides and I've just got to come up with a plan of attack. We're nearly ready but I'm freaking out that something last minute is going to screw us up. Like the TA is going to forget to buy us airfare. Shudder. We're insured so the money is safe. Thank god.
I probably just got a case of the nerves cause my local stores don't have any good new books. Thank God some good ones are coming out at the end of October and in November.. Christine Feehan, MaryJanice Davidson and Nora Roberts all have new books coming out then. I'm also really stoked that Unleash the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon is out on Jan 01. I keep telling myself that I'm going to wait to read it until I'm lying on a sunny beach soaking up the sun. Don't know if I'll be able to resist it though. :confused3

I am so jealous of all of you who are going to the World too! How cool is that...getting to go to the World, and cruising!

I am soooo very excited...only 82 more days to go! I keep thinking that it's right around the corner, but then I remember that we still have Christmas to get through! :earseek:

We also have to get through Thanksgiving and New Years. Has anyone else started there Christmas shopping???

Has anyone else seen that extensive packing list someone did in the general cruise forum? (I can't get to it with my computer :badpc: ) Just wondering how extensive it is?

*gurgle* Christmas....don't get me started...

and THANKSGIVING... my inlaws house...you could't eat worse food if you were at Luby's after a 2 day power outage. *shudder* It's a myth that all old southern women know how to cook. Although ironically, all the old southern women on MY side of the family CAN cook.

We bought Halloween decorations but haven't had time to put them up so we're just going to return them in exchange for Christmas lights. Hopefully we'll get to those since we'll be on Christmas break :rotfl: Course, the problem there will be taking them DOWN...I'll be too busy packing for the cruise, dontcha know ;) Can you believe though that I am taking distance learning Spanish III and I pretty much have to complete most of it in the 3 weeks before our trip? GAAAAHH!!!! So much for a silent night, holy night. More like a cower under the Christmas tree mumbling, "No mas, no mas...Soy loco loco"

I downloaded that list (against my better computer safety judgement, but no spy thingers that I could tell). The packing list was ok, I liked the tips list on it better.

My first post here. I'm going to be on this cruise with my father. His first cruise, my second. We're spending four nights at WL then on to the cruise. I turn 40 the day we check in at WL. Only eighty more days!

 Welcome aboard to you and your father.

My husband and I are cruising with my parents. It will be their first cruise too.

:wave2: Hi and welcome CaspianIV and your father. Sounds like you will be celebrating your 40th in style. My husband and I stayed at the Wilderness Lodge last June for a week and loved it. It's really a great resort.

Branv...... :rotfl2: You're posts are so funny they always have me laughing. Sorry to hear about your inlaws cooking. I'm so thankful my Mother in Law is in the midwest, and that she does not travel out to California. :cheer2: :jumping1:
I have not given much thought yet to Christmas decorations this year.
