January 8, 2006- 4 night Wonder- Anybody else coming with?

UGAFan0829, that seems like a long trip! I hate the traffic getting up to Raleigh. I knew Wilson sounded familiar, about 6 years ago I worked for a commercial real estate company in Winston-Salem who handled the acquisitions and dispositions of BB&T's branch properties in NC and VA. If I remember correctly there was an huge facility out in Wilson we were trying to sell. Or was that in Mebane? I was going to be moved over to that team but instead I got pregnant and quit :rotfl:

Bump ........I hate it when our thread gets to the second page.

I was just thinking the same thing as I was going through the threads trying to find it!!

We're going to hit the Rainforest Cafe on either our AK or our MGM day. We're also hitting the Biergarten(sp?). I told my sister I wanted us to go there for lunch and she's said "I can't take the kids there!" I was like ?!? for a second then I told her it wasn't really a Beer Garden the name is just spelt similar. :rotfl:
Actually when I meantioned to my former boss (he's retired) we were going he said that Biergarten was the one restaurant we had to goto. He and his wife have been to WDW and Disneyland many times. Boy it's been nearly 3 years and I still miss working for them. They had a real family like atmoshpere and low low turnover.
Oh btw does anyone know what the Etra Magic Hours schedule is for the 3rd to the 8th. :confused3

Hi JoyCrazy - I have not seen them posted yet, but the extra magic hours as far as I can figure out should be:

Jan 3 AK (pm)
Jan 4 MK (pm)
Jan 5 Ep (pm)
Jan 6 MK (am)
Jan 7 AK (am)

Others feel free to revise if you have better info.

Can't wait to head south... :cool1:

I have a question about online reservations for Palo. I can make them 75 days ahead of time, but does that mean I will be allowed to right at midnight? I thought I saw a post somewhere that someone mentioned setting their alarm for 2 am to make their reservations. Any thoughts????

Good question....I also look forward to the answer.

I did a search on the main cruise board some time back...can't remember what search parameters I used. I know that I saw that for my time zone I can sign up at 2:01 am :) Each time zone is different. I'll do a search again and see if I can find it.

Okily Dokily, looks like it's 3 am EST, 2 am CST and 12 PST (Vicki, aren't you lucky! ;) )

Thanks Branv for posting the information !!!

Yeah, finally the West Coast people get a break. I've paid my dues getting up numerous time at 4:00 am to call WDW dining to get the all important, almost impossible, must do priority seating. It's hard working the phone when your eyes are half open. :rotfl:

When making the reservations on line is it pretty straight forward?? Any trick we need to know????

I found it was very simple, once I got into the site. Evidently I'd registered somewhere on Disney years ago & didn't have my birthdate entered. Because of that, the system wouldn't recognize me to send me my password - so I had to register as a new person, using my work email address. Once I did that, it was a piece of cake.

Thanks Sue. I will check and make sure everything is OK before I try and sign up.

So, for those of you who are doing dinner at Palo, which night have you decided on?
I made our ressie for the 3rd night, which would be CC night. Just wondering if anyone else would be there at the same time!

Being first time Disney Cruisers, we are going to skip Palo's for dinner. It will give me something to plan for the next one! Plus, we are doing this cruise to spend lots of time with our DD's without the baby DS. So, we plan on using the kids clubs as little as possible. I know they have some activities that they will want to join in on, but I want to plan only one time that they HAVE to go. My DH LOVES breakfast and I LOVE seafood, so the Palo brunch menu sounds perfect and that is when the DD's must go to the kids club. :) Now, I just hope we can get in!

I am sure that after you cruise you will definitely want to re-book. I think it's awesome that you want to spend time with your children.

I am excited about the Palo brunch as well...just a little nervous. I hope that it isn't too "stuffy"!

Only 86 more days to go...can you belive it! :cheer2:

No Palo plans at all here.

You guys enjoy your time at Palo :)
