January 8, 2006- 4 night Wonder- Anybody else coming with?

It is really easy to find the port. I don't think you will have any problems at all. Once you get close there are tons of signs that say which turn for which cruiseline. No big deal.

I can't sleep in either and I would rather get on the ship as soon as I can because that is when the vacation truly starts. As soon as you are aboard, you are a pampered guest and the "real" world no longer exists.

I believe that the port opens at 10:30am. I don't think they let any cars in until then. Have your documentation, proof of citizenship etc ready when you pull up because they will ask for it when you drive in. They will then check for your name on their list.

Usually boarding starts somewhere between 11:45 and noon.

And then we are off and running to the buffet line :rotfl:

Oh the buffet line...... :thewave:

yup, easy on the breakfast Sunday morning.

Have to save room for lunch ;)

So to recap...

My mother in law is coming to stay this weekend...

The men showed up to deliver our new mattress and..what's this? Why they forgot to load it in the van at the warehouse! We've already gotten rid of the guest bed...so someone may be sleeping on the floor...

Thirty minutes later the cat hurled on my brand new week-old duvet...

My hair is doing that weird flippy humidity thing...

And I think I'm getting a sinus infection.

DISNEY CRUISE LINE....TAKE ME AWAY!!! :rotfl:

Hang in there. Only 93 days to go !!!!!!!!!! :cheer2: Start working on your door sign, I bet it will cheer you up.

LOL!!

I say I go find that recipe for Konk Kooler and keep that in a thermos at closehand all weekend.

"What's that you say dear mother in law...can't hear you, lalalalalalal!"

Just think if you were completely immoral you could pull a Gabrielle get her run over by a car collect the insurance money and if your lucky sue the hospital for malpractice. Sigh sometimes a conscience is a real burden. ;)

Congrats on making your final payment. :cheer2: :cool1:
Even though it's paid in full I can't make res. until later in the month. :sad1:

???What is REAS?? (sorry, I have no clue)

VickiDH, REAS is a romantic escape at sea package (i think that's the official title) that includes various things - like rose petals on the bed one evening, bathrobes, passes to the rainforest room, dinner at Palo, etc. They recently changed what was included. But from what I have read from posters who have purchased this, they would not do it again. Obviously some love it as well. You can find the exact details on DCL's web site and make your own decision about it.

We (well, I was) were dead set on doing the couples cabanna massage on CC. But then I read a thread where everyone was saying it wasn't worth the money...the massages weren't that great and it was expensive. Now I am wondering whether to do it or not. My DH will do it if I make the reservation, but it isn't anything he is dying to do. But then again, I made him a massage appointment at the Grand Floridian on Sat after the half marathon, so he's taken care of :)

Can't wait until I can make our Palo brunch reservations!!!!

REAS is the Romanctic Escape at Sea. That's the reason that I was able to make our ressies early!

The end of the month isn't too far away at all!! :cheer2:

Hey attagirlx2, what part of NC are you in?
I was just in Wilson this week for work. Boy that was a long ride!

Thanks all for the REAS definition. Now I remember reading about it.

I was able to book our WDW dining reservations (pre cruise) today. We will be dining at Le Cellier in Canada and at the Beach Club the Cape May Cafe Clam Bake. So at least that's taken care of.

Now....just waiting until I can try and make Palo reservations. :hourglass

Just to let you know, there were plenty of times left last night when we made ours...for both brunch and lunch! :)

UGAFan0829 - I'm in Charlotte. Is Wilson near the coast in the middle of nowhere??? What brought you there?

VickiHD - We are also eating at Le Cellier on Sat night! I've never been there but have heard good things.

Anyone have thoughts about the Rainforest Cafe? My kids princess: princess: want to do that but I have not heard great reviews.

attagirlx2 ....I've also heard great things about Le Cellier. We'll have to compare notes what we thought of our lunch and your thoughts on dinner.

We enjoy Rainforest Cafe. We have been eating there for years and we have been to a number of different locations. They have great salads and I love the crab cakes. It is loud inside but I'm sure your kids will love all the animals and special effects. You can also join the Rainforest Cafe Safari Club and save $$ on meals, also in the retail shop. It's even good at other restaurants owned by Landry's Inc. They also send you certificates on Birthdays and you get $$ back in a certificate a few weeks after you join. You can find out all the details on line or even at the locations. Hope that helps.

Thanks VickiHD for all the info on the Rainforest Cafe. We somehow never made it the last 2 times we were at DW even though we had advanced seating reservations. I guess both times we got too busy and didn't make it. But my DD's have seen it advertised on the DW video and have wanted to go. I thought if I heard some positive feedback on the restaurant, we'd not miss it this time around. My youngest DD (4) is hoping for Rainforest Cafe and breakfast with the Princesses and Chef Mickey's. We've done a total of 4 princess breakfasts and 2 dinners at Chef Mickeys on our previous 2 trips. I am not planning to do either of those this go around.

attagirlx2-Wilson is east of Raleigh/Durham. I came right through Charlotte on my way there and back...right up I-85. I work for BB&T, and went to a training class there in Wilson.
