It is really easy to find the port. I don't think you will have any problems at all. Once you get close there are tons of signs that say which turn for which cruiseline. No big deal.
I can't sleep in either and I would rather get on the ship as soon as I can because that is when the vacation truly starts. As soon as you are aboard, you are a pampered guest and the "real" world no longer exists.
I believe that the port opens at 10:30am. I don't think they let any cars in until then. Have your documentation, proof of citizenship etc ready when you pull up because they will ask for it when you drive in. They will then check for your name on their list.
Usually boarding starts somewhere between 11:45 and noon.
And then we are off and running to the buffet line
