Does anyone know if it will be crowded this weekend? I know that all weekends are crowded, but I guess I was sort of hoping that everyone would be busy getting back to reality after Christmas Vacation. :)

We are going to Disneyland on the 6th, and DCA on the 7th. I've been to DL a zillion times, so I know what's the best stuff.......but I've never been to DCA (although I did ride Tower of Terror and Soarin at WDW so I know those rides).

Any tips for a newbie going to DCA? Any must sees or must rides? I saw the Electrical Parade back in 95 at DL and I loved it! I definitely want to see that at DCA!

I hear the Christmas Decorations are up thru January 7th, so looks like I'll still see that.

Any other tips? TIA!

I was hoping it would be less crowded by now, but it has been extremely crowded this week. I was at Downtown Disney on Wednesday 1/3 and when I parked in the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure the digital sign out front actually said that Disneyland was closed due to crowds. It should have been quieter by now, but it's not. If it was that busy on a Wednesday, I'd expect it to be even busier on the weekend. Sorry.

I think it was closed to capacity on January 3 partly because lots of people wanted to ride Space Mountain with its new soundtrack. Also, many schools around the country were still off all week for Christmas break. Since you are going on a weekend that happens to be the last weekend they are running the holiday fireworks and parade at Disneyland and the Electrical Parade at DCA (which only runs during peak seasons now, so Sunday is the last night for awhile) I would plan on some crowds that might be heavy. Also, I might suggest that you go with the plan of hopping back and forth and not just doing one park per day. We always get to Disneyland right when it opens, then as it gets very crowded, usually around lunch time hop over to DCA. Then go back to Disneyland for the fireworks unless we are seeing the Electrical Parade. It sounds like you know Disneyland pretty well so you should be fine but I think you will be in the company of lots of other folks this weekend!

Check out the Pacific Wharf, the bread bowl soups and salads are crazy good!! And the roast beef sandwich, YUM!!!!!! Mmmmm makin me hungry!!!

The Aladdin stage show at DCA is great, espeically for a first timer.

Hi Gang,

Planning on going to Disneyland tomorrow (Sunday, Jan. 7). Need to pick my nephew a birthday gift and also use my AP discount coupon before end of January.

Anyway, anyone have any idea what the crowds are supposed to be like?

Thanks.

Saturday, January 6th had very light crowds!! We were done with all the big rides by 11am. Tomorrow is DCA!
