I will be home too, well maybe shopping here. Hubby is getting the snow tires on my car today too.

Good thing all that precipation was rain last night and not snow. It came down in buckets.

I too am among the working today. But I did some shopping before I came in. All I have to say is some companies go above and beyond to make sure customers get the propper discounts. I had a slight problem with an order I made with an undisclosed retailer (entered a free shipping code, and only $10 of the $15 shipping charge was credited). After I dragged myself into work after a lovely Thanksgiving at Sea World Orlando and a quick trip to DTD for dinner at T-Rex, I called said retailer and in a matter of moments the remainder of the shipping charge was credited. I even checked the order status online, and it is showing as corrected there, too. Hope everyone has great days working or shopping.

Ok, I think it should be a rule that if family members are going to be sick, we all do it together as a family and be done with it. Why is it that when one gets better, the other one goes down?? I started a job this month and I swear I have been home more than at work due to illnesses. My kids are rarely sick and now they are like little diseases. So stressful!!! Well, here's to another day at home - luckily hubbie will be home at noon to take over. Thanks for letting me vent!!

I seem to have a bad run of luck at the tail end of cruises. I think its a) all of the air conditioning keeping rooms just above meat locker temps, and b) the fact that I don't have immunities built up to all the fun germs brought on board by folks from other areas of the country/world. I'm sure a big dip in temps on the last cruise didn't help much, either. I tried using Airborn after getting home from the last cruise, and that helped some, but I was still out for a day afterwards from feeling so bad.

Wow, what a night/day! Got home from thanksgiving at 9 last night, was out shopping at midnight, back home at 3, and back shopping at 7. Still not home, but fading quickly!

Oh oh nothing worse than a boss who "lives to work...instead of "works to live". I had one too when I worked. Now I am my own boss...

DW & I just got back from our post-workday Black Friday Shopping. The local mall was a bit busier than it would be on a normal Friday at 4ish in the afternoon, but nowhere near as crazy as it could have been.

We did manage to find some really great deals. The Body Shop was having a Black Friday special where with a $30 purchase you had the option of buying an overnight bag filled with goodies for an additional $25. The estimated value of the items in the bag is around $175, and a scent it features isn't available at The Body Shop stores in the States...for us, we can only get it online. Another promo they were running was you could purchase [just about] any three items for $30. And you weren't limited to one bag, either. So we each bought 3 items and the bag and our total savings was around $400 according to the receipt. Don't think we'll do much better on the deals than that for the rest of the year!

so a few weeks ago I posted that I was trying to lose weight for the cruise -that didnt go anywhere - but I started again last Saturday. I decided to join Jenny Craig - I lost 30 pounds on JC about a year ago but then my whole life went crazy and i gained 22 pounds back.

I am determined to stick to it this time......So I am still hoping to be down 15 by the time we leave.

I will post each week on progress - the board will keep me honest.

First week I lost 3 pounds....goal is 2 this week
