That is me!! They love the beach and I go for them. Like I said I don't even swim but made sure the kids could.

If it is cold I will not even put my bathingsuit on or take off whatever I have on over it......:rotfl2: The sun has to be splitting the trees for me to go swimming...:goodvibes

For those staying at WDW, are you guys going to take the Magical Express to the Port or do a rental? We're trying to decide.
3 of us magical express=$210 RT
limo=$372 RT ....hmmm, anyone want to split one? limo seats 8
Oh, and a $10 discount with a mousesaverscode.:P so $362 RT ... 4-5 seats available. :P

Ok totally off topic but speaking of getting to know each other...you should know I am totally usless with computers...so can someone tell me how I change the ages of myself and kids on my siggy? :rotfl2:

We're staying at either the Radisson by the Port or Country Inn and Suites. I'm thinking I may try the priceline thing to see if I can get a really good deal at CIS.

You are going to be very lucky if you get to the port by 11a. Baggage at MCO is some of the slowest in the US. Reset your wish to noon, that way if you are there earlier than you will be surprised.

To be honest, there is not all that much to do in the terminal at the Port. There is limited seating and it can get noisy. Mickey and Minnie do come out, but you will have many sightings over the next 6 or so days.

Relax, it is the first day of a Holiday. And the real key to a cruise it relax.

Chuck

We've never had our baggage take too long there. Or it is relative. Luggage at Reagan National can take 45 minutes or more!! I fugured we should be able to get our luggage in about 30-40 mintues and then on our way. We are doing a private limo from the airport. Last time we cruised, we were coming from the resort via a land and sea package. Will NEVER do that again - wait around for Disney trans. We spent lots of time waiting around and didn't end up at the port until 3. We were on the 8th deck - couldn't get into an elevator - and had to lug sleeping baby/stroller/carry-on up the steps. Missed lunch and had just enough time to go to the lifeboat muster and back for dinner. Way too stressful. At least this time we are not waiting for Disney buses - and taking a limo which the kids will love (its a surprise for them!!) That is why I want to get to the port early - so we can actually have lunch and enjoy the sailing away party!

See my post above. What I found taking the bus, was that they didn't pick up from the resorts until late. We were told we had to be at our meeting area at the Animal Kingdom Lodge at 12:30. We arrived 15 minutes or so early, but then the buses didn't arrive to get us until well after 1 (almost 1:30). It was 3 when we arrived at the port and there was a huge crowd and we were slow with a baby and stroller so it took a really long time to get checked in. We got on the boat just in time to get to the room and do the life boat muster. I found it really stressful, especially with an infant (DD was 6 months at the time) , and a toddler (DS was 4) who was hungry.

It wasn't enough time in the morning to actually go to the parks to do anything since parks didn't open until later in Jan and with transportation and trying to get back to meet the bus, we couldn't really make it there and back in time.

I know you are travelling with an infant too so it is just something to consider. I know before we decided to splurge on the limo, we found that we could get a minivan for the same price as DCL transpoortation and then it is on your schedule!! Others may have a different experience with DCL trans from the resorts, but from the main boards, I gather it is pretty normal for them not to pick up until after 1.

I've never done this, but read on disboards about others doing it...they get up early and take ME back to the airport and then take the disney bus from the airport to the Port. From what I read, they could get to the port earlier (but requires more moving around).

I am not sure yet but not to fussy about where I stay for one night....I was looking into Beachfront Wakulla 2 bedroom Hotel or whatever but not sure yet. I want to stay somewhere near or right on N Atlantic Ave, as we will be returning the car on the way to the cruise and then getting the shuttle over.

Yes ME and my DH are finding the pre-boarding options endless and can't really decide whether to stay in the Orlando area Friday night or head over to Port Canaval and stay there the night. Where are you flying out of? We are flying out of Buffalo on Friday. We originally decided to stay in Orlando (at the airport and get picked up by Disney and we do have Disney transport booked but may cancel) and thinking now may head to Port instead Friday night and have a more relaxing morning closer to the ship.

Only related because this is just one reason we are going on the cruise, but feel the need to celebrate now.......

Just finished my very last assignment towards my MBA!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!:banana::banana: :cool1::cool1::cool1::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Thank you!!! It took me 2 1/2 years because I just took one class at a time - once I had my DD, it was too hard to spend more than one night a week away. Can't wait until after Thursday because I can cross that off of the list!!!

Is there anyone booking their reservations at the 90 day mark??? It is only 5 days away!

OK, I'm trying to post a photo for the first time...fingers crossed! This is our FE.

Thanks for the tips! I think a private xfer is the best option. Would love to split a limo though if anyone wants to. ;)
