January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

Caravan! We keep going back and forth on flying or driving. We're in Iowa.

That would be awesome!! :rotfl: Right now I am thinking that we are going to try to drive through the night on Wed night and get to the Port around Thursday afternoon. Stay at the Radisson Thurs and Fri night and then be all rested and ready to cruise!!! I would love to stay at WDW, but this is our 'non' Disney vacation for my DH (who isn't as crazy about WDW as I am). That way too I'm hopefully not going to miss the parks as much if I don't stay there! It'll be nice too to hopefully spend a little time on the beach on Friday. They have a nice pool there too.

We are booked on this cruise as well!! It is our 4th and this is my first time on the Dis boards! Not really sure what I am doing..
So far we are travelling with myself, my hubby, our 14 and 15 year old daughters, my 13 year old nephew, my 14 year old niece and my sister in law...Cant wait!!!

Julie, my 13yo daughter would love to "meet" your teens before she cruises so she feels like she has someone there she knows (besides mom & dad). If you're up for it, I can PM you her email. :)

Only 18 days until concierge and platinum can book reservations...makes it all feel like it is getting close even though it is still more than 4 months away.

Welcome!

UGH!! Spirit just came out with REALLY good fares from DTW to MCO. NOW I am trying to quickly decide if it is worth spending $300 more and flying down vs. driving down. If you haven't bought flights and Spirit is by you...I would check them out!

Just booked our flight with southwest out of Buffalo, prices were pretty good . We save so much by flying from Buffalo instead of Toronto. Half the price at least! The countdown begins!:cool1:

I love Southwest - always choose them if I can! Congrats on booking air and on booking this cruise!:banana::banana:

Well...we decided that we are for sure driving down. Here's to driving down with a 9 mth old! (Not too worried about the 4 yr old!). Good luck to everyone on saving a little bit!

It's such a difficult decision. What's funny is we're not worred about driving with an 11 month old, but are worried about the 4 yr old!:rotfl:

Do you have a DVD player? That was the best investment I have ever made! I think I may have to get another one for the little one....ours only has 1 screen and maybe it will keep the little one occupied too! I drove to WDW last year w/ DD - she was almost 3 then. It was long of course but okay. AND she was only about 2 mths into being potty trained then too!

adventure_woman - we may be driving as well...DH put his foot down and said if I can't get airfare for under $500 for all of us (which I have done before but isn't looking promising for this trip) we will be driving :( I just hate driving non-stop and have issues with motion sickness in the car. Good to know about the DVD players - will have to remember to bring those if we end up driving.

mjhd - Are you flexible when you leave? Did you look at Spiritair? From DTW they are still $29/person (about $47 I think w/ taxes) each way. BUT...those are leaving Tues/Wed and returning on Sat.

I don't think we'll drive straight through...DH didn't sound too keen on that. So, we'll probably leave about 1am on Thurs am then drive all day on Thursday and stay the night in southern GA and then finish up...arriving at the port on Fri early afternoon.

I have made the drive several times...not with the little one, but with the almost 3 yr old last yr.

Can I join in....we just booked our cruise today.

Had one set for the first week in Dec but change to this date since Canadian's got a great discount for this time.

There well be me , my husband , son 13 years, and daughter 10

We have cruised on the Magic few times before. Last time being 2008
