January 29, 2011 - 7 Day Eastern - WOOHOO!!

We are leaving Friday am (28th) flying from Detroit Metro to Orlando. DS has a basketball game the night before. Glad we booked our flights in October, they are almost 3 times the price now! We return that Saturday the 5th, should get into Metro just after 7 pm.

DS said he is excited to see Florida & tropical islands. :cloud9:

He's a classical violinist. Not sure about Drake & Josh, but I'd guess no, and I don't see it listed on his IMDB page.

LOL!!! Yeah I didnt think it was....:confused3 That is a young teen show that is probably why you didnt know it.

Well hope you guys have fun.

We are driving down...hopefully leaving about 1am on Wed night/Thurs am. Get to PC Fri afternoon. Driving back on Sat, arriving home Sun early evening.

We are at Universal on Friday - but we are just doing the Islands of Adventure/ Are you doing both parks?

Have you done Universal before? this is our first time. It seems that there are only a few cool rides outside of HP.....spiderman and the Hulk.

We just made dinner plans for Hard Rock on Friday evening.....my kids always love that place

No never been to the one in Orlando. Was at the one in Hollywood in the summer but it was so packed with people in small space we left it and just did the City Walk. Did do the back stage tour though with King Kong in 3D that was really cool.

Just going for Harry Potter, I am not a big ride person anyway. My dd and I will probably sitck to the Dr Suess stuff, watch the shows and characters. We are going to both parks, we have a hopper park pass thing.

We plan on it :) We also have a busy week this week. We started it off Sunday by going to Sea World Orlando and went to see Cake at House of Blues in DTD, then tonight we're going to see Rock of Ages, tomorrow we have Beauty & the Beast: The Musical, then Saturday we're going to see Reel Big Fish at Hard Rock Orlando (Universal Citywalk). I'm getting tired just thining about it, and the crazy work schedule I have this week (2 days where I work an hour earlier (7:30-4:00), one normal start time (8:30-5:00), then two 7:00 am starts, one of which is a 10 hour day, one a six hour day. Now I'm REALLY tired thinking about this week!

YIKES...:scared1:

This week needs to go by faster! :surfweb:

I think everyone is going to have a crazy busy week next week! It will be worth it for sure! :cloud9:

I just wish this week wouldn't drag on & on.... :rolleyes1

I got the 1:30 time thank god cuz now it is sold out...speaking of did/is anyone doing the online check that they do 36 hrs before? I was thinking of doing it for the way home so I dont have to worry while we are in CC. Sorry those flying with Southwest.

We have the 36 hour mark for online check in with southwest both there and back, not sure we really needed it for going down but for sure coming back as now we just need to print out our boarding passes once we get to the airport. No worries about where and when we would have had to get it done, I think its well worth the 10 bucks! We start our vacation on Wed. the 26th around noon we will head to Buffalo overnight then board our flight at 10am Thursday morning, returning home on the 5th flight leaves at 130. 2 days to spend at disney before the cruise, will probably just do downtown disney the first day as we wont get in till around 1pm not worth putting out alot of money for just a few hours in the parks, plan on spending the friday at magic kingdom and hollywood studios. Wish we had more time but we will be back in August!:woohoo:

Yeah I am going to ask my friend but if she is iffy then I will just get the online early checkin for on the way back...I think we are on the same flight.

yes we must be on the same flight home, hope the weather isnt to bad once we get back into Buffalo, least we only have an hours drive and we are back in Hamilton, I work afternoons on Sunday wish I had booked it off but I didnt want to use any of my vacation time, Im just using stat days for this vacation .I like to use my vacation time in December so I save it for then.:cool1:

We decided to pay the extra money to use DIS transportation back manly so they can take care of our luggage & boarding passes. We are using Air Tran, they had the best non-stop flights when we booked.

I think my wee will go fast since I have yet to pack a lot and we have to get the cat to the grandparents house. Which is an hour away.

Also have to get the cat to the vet for his shots first....poor Buddy won't know what is happening.
