JANUARY 27, 2007 "PAL MICKEY" Western Magic ROLL CALL

Okay, this is embarrassing. :scared: I'm NOT excited about the cruise at the moment. :confused3 We haven't started packing. The house is a mess. We had an overflowed toilet yesterday that dripped from the top floor of the house down to the main floor and into the basement. There's a ton of laundry to do. :laundy: :laundy: :laundy: It just seems like there's so much work to do before we can go. Anyone want 4 kids? Now DH is trying to get us to go to Friendly's for dinner because we have coupons expiring!

48 hours from now it all won't matter. We'll be in Florida and I'll be picking up my Pal Mickey. I'll drag out the suitcases tonight and start packing, maybe that will help me get excited. I did score some alien green mickeys the other day.

I am in the Disney mood nearly all the time though. My license plate on my car is DSNYSCT (DisneyScout). I got a 5 disk set of Disney music for Christmas, so I have that going in my car all the time.

Okay, off to dinner. 39 hours until departure!

Kim

I know the feeling. I have been a little overwhelmed this week with everything that has to be done before leaving Friday afternoon and I only have two children. I cannot imagine what it is like with for especially when one is a newborn. My house looks like a tornado came through.

I am also starting to get nervous about the cruise itself. Am I going to like it? Am I going to get seasick? Will my children get seasick? Will somebody get sick and have to be quarantined? blah, blah, blah

I think I will feel better once I get some cleaning done and hopefully I will find the time to do that tomorrow.

See you all soon. :flower3:

The princesses have Mouse Ears, too!

So does pluto, although he also has reindeer antlers. That ones a bit much:

I guess this one could be Princess Minnie:

I like this website. I can start my shopping list early. :goodvibes
I know. I have seen some of them. I understand all the hats for different characters, but it's the ears that get me - - especially with Stitch! When I think about mouse ears I always think of Mickey or Minnie. Guess it's because I am as old as Disneyland.

Decided to check the availability as of today. Only a slight change in Cat 8:

Category 4 - 8084
Category 5 - Guarantee
Category 6 - Guarantee
Category 7 - 5632
Category 8 - Guarantee
Category 9 - 1032
Category 10 - 2579, 2645
Category 11 - 6309, 6041
Category 12 - Guarantee

Good Morning! Our cruise still isn't sold out. The system won't let me check which rooms (it's too close to departure time), but Category 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 12 showed up. I guess that could mean there are only two rooms left though. :rotfl2:

Two days peoples!!:woohoo:

It's cold and rainy here there morning but it looks that it might have stopped raining already over by the parks. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny with 0 % chance of rain! So for those who came in early to go to the parks today is a little iffy and tomorrow will be fantastic.

Today is the day I pack as I leave in the morning to go to Taswira's. But other than picking up a bottle of wine (Yellow Tail Shiraz) and getting that all important mani/pedi - I'm all done with errands. :cheer2:

Didn't sleep well last night - I think I'm already getting that "vaction is almost here" feeling. I often don't sleep well the night before leaving - only this time it's a cruise so I'm REALLY excited I guess.

Only got 2 hours sleep here. LOL. I am so glad to finally be meeting all of you and am also looking forward to the cruise. I got everyone else's stuff together except for my own last night. Today I will get my stuff together. Thanks for the weather report. We are flying in tommorrow and 0% chance of rain sounds great. Yesterday it snowed for the first time here in Kentucky. What is the temperature suppose to be? I don't know whether to pack sweatshirts etc. for cold weather in Florida or shorts, polo shirts etc. for the whole trip. Any advice is appreciated.

The forecast for Saturday for Cape Canaveral/Port Canaveral has gone up to 73 f (low 63 f). Uh-oh - Time for me to sweat at the drill! I'm sure going to miss Animator's Palate for that but am glad the drill doesn't last too long. ;)

I almost never sleep the night before a cruise, or any other trip. I'm sure I'll have bloodshot eyes from lack of sleep, but then that will be the case during the cruise also. There are so many things going on about 18 hours a day. Although I plan to do my share of lounging around doing nothing, at least when I am awake I can appreciate the ship! I didn't pay for a cruise to spend too much time sleeping! :beach:

Hi Guys,
It's almost time  Great luck CruisinCanuck. After your story I went right online and checked in and printed our boarding passes. Also, glad to read that others are having the last minute panicks. My DD teacher told me last week that her parents were on a cruise recently and they lost power for 24hours at sea. Great! Like I needed another worry to add to my list along with seasickness, norovirus, kids getting lost etc etc....anyway, I know the anxiety will leave me the second I see the ship.

Can't wait! See you all soon!

Suzct - was cruise line ship was that that lost power for a time? If anything like that happens, hope its when we are docked. But that seems extremely unlikely we would lose power or have any problems aboard.

I'm packing now. Gonna finish it up tonight. :hourglass :hourglass

Wishing safe travels to all!! We leave in the morning... I'll spend most of the night listening to DH snore...my mind will not give up until we are on the magic & all is well, then I'll get some good sleep, I love the gentle rocking!!!
I just noticed on our ressie today that we've been switched to the early dining!!! GREAT news for us!!! We had been waist listed since we booked in June!!
Enjoy the Magic!!pixiedust:

It's snowing! I want to leave now! I hate snow! Still not packed. DH just got home from work.

Yep you're getting that snow squall we got at 2:45 PM today in Baltimore. I left work at 3 and half the way home it was like a white out. But by the time I pulled into the driveway, snow had stopped. Just think we will be going where there is no snow (and no 17 degrees tonight). I think you said you were traveling on Friday....I fly Sat.

So roll those t shirts and shorts, get them in those suitcases, then sit down to a cup of hot tea and call it a day! Safe travels to you!

See what I get for not looking out my window very often? I'm just south of Baltimore and didn't know it was snowing until DH came home around 6:30 pm. I'm sure we've been having it for a while. It better not delay our flight tomorrow. I SO NEED THIS VACATION!

Is anyone planning to work out during the cruise? I just started working with a personal trainer and am trying to loose weight, so I'm hoping to get on a treadmill at least twice during the cruise.

Kim

I'm packed! I'm ready! ::yes::

Wow it's cold here tonight! I live about 40-45 miles northwest of Disney and it's 50 degrees where I am.

But it'll warm up and we're cruisin to warmer waters! I look forward to meeting all of you. :yay:

It is 45f here in the Daytona Beach area right now. They expect it to get to about 30f with the wind chill overnight.

:rotfl: I have to laugh when you southerners call 50 degrees cold but then again I am only in Va where it rarely gets below 32. Of course today it did just that, tonight the temp is supposed to dip to 7 degrees - YIKES that is cold. That's okay I am packed, 6 bags total for the four of us with 2 extras packed inside others "just in case". Just a few more hours and we will be in Florida - :cool1: See you all at 3pm on the Boat on Sat. If anyone see a family of four and the wife/mom is carrying a turquoise bag with alien green ribbons on it - thats US - come say hello. See you all real soon.........this will probably be my last post - got to work a half day tomorrow then catch a 2:50pm flight. Happy travels everyone!!

12:30 am and we're still not packed. The laundry is still in the dryer drying. Our flight leaves at 10:55 am tomorrow morning. Strike that, this morning. We're on Friday already. Still have some clothes I have to try on to see if they fit after having gained all this weight with this last pregnancy. Where are my shorts? :confused3

Going to bed now. It can only get better from here. (I hope!)

Kim

Our cruise is tomorrow!:cheer2::banana: :cheer2::cool1: (okay, I like smilies....)

This will be my last post until...after. (don't want to even think about THAT)

Got up this morning to 35 degrees. (hey, this is Florida people!!) So that's cold for us. It is supposed to warm up though so don't fear that you are going to get snowed upon during your cruise. It's always best to pack a couple of warmer items just in case. Just add a sweatshirt or sweater to any outfit and it'll do.

I'm going to be leaving shortly to go to Taswira's. I'll see you all tomorrow! :woohoo:
