Right, I can't believe it's almost here already!!!

DH decided after it snowed again today that it was a reasonable time to put up his summer clothes :upsidedow So we started going through what he might pack for the cruise. Which leads me to my question...

What are your respected male companions wearing for semi-formal night? DH has a tux for formal night, but he doesn't want to have to pack another suit...never mind that I will be packing 18 dresses and 24 pairs of shoes!!!

My DH HATES dressing up. Especially since he has to wear uniform most days. DS is no better. I managed to get dress pants, dress shirt and tie for formal night (it was the best I could do they both REFUSE to put a jacket on..like father like son). On the Wonder they both put on a nice pair of pants and nice shirt and I am expecting the same this time around. On the other hand DD and I LOVE getting dressed up so we both have nice dresses. 2 out of 4 isn’t bad!:lmao:

Jan 16 cruisers are getting their GTY stateroom assignments. Anybody here gotten any yet?

We know we'll be in a verandah, could be any between a Cat 4-7...anxiously awaiting an assignment!

WOW! Lucky wife... you actually can get him to wear a tux? :thumbsup2
I know, I couldn't sleep last night thinking about all the stuff I have to pack... and if I have anything that will fit me :scared1:
Heck, I guess as long as nobody thinks I'm still pregnant I should be ok... :lmao:

Yep, mine too. And I still have to buy a pretty dress for DD... The rest of the time she might be in her onesies and shorts/pants hehe...

Cross your fingers, he hasn't worn it in a while, hopefully it still fits  Maybe we'll have a fashion show tonight.

DD should be easy to buy for.

Wow! That sounds familiar. I am pretty sure the DH will be wearing a nice pair of pants and shirt, but probably no tie! The DS is pretty much married to sweatpants and "sweat shorts" (don't ask) and it takes an act of congress to get a pair of jeans on that boy... :sad2: At least the DD and I will be dressed up!

Hi Guys & Gals,

Still need participants for the Traveling Mickey. All you have to do is sign him when he shows up on your door and pass him to the next person on the list. Only have 6 slots available and a couple of people have already signed up.

How does it work? Mickey will show up on your door one day during the cruise. You keep him that day, sign him and take him to his next cabin the next day sometime. The person who gets him on Friday will get to keep him!

PM me or if you can't PM yet, just reply here!

Got the other size shirts I needed today so we all will be in royal blue. I also got the kids club letter today letting us know about the changes.

Hubby will wear his work clothes for both formal and semi-formal night -- dress shirt and pants, tie, etc. Maybe he'll bring a sports coat, too. He's not a tux guy, though.

My boys do not like to "look handsome." Their words. I can barely keep them from wearing Lightning McQueen shirts to church, so I am going to settle for cargo pants and non-cartoon character shirts on them for formal and SF night. It's soooooo not worth the battle.

So is the FE sign-up deadline almost here? After that, we will know how many people we are buying for, right? After Christmas, I am going to get on that as well as printing my room door magnets, etc. This cruise will be here in a flash! :thumbsup2

I am waiting on the final FE count as well. So far I have bought for 12 cabins. If anymore are included I will just go back to the store or add to. I am in the process of printing my door magnets as well. I was thinking all of us who are decorating are doors should print out the stamp picture and add it to our doors or find something that will ID us.LOL

Where have you found your magnetic paper? I have checked Target, Walmart, JoAnn's & Michael's with no luck. I must not be checking in the right places.

As for FE gifts, we are at 16 participating so far. Anyone else interested?

Thanks!

Yes, he is Navy. Sea duty on the Iwo Jima in Norfolk, Va.

Cool, we actually went and toured the Iwo Jima when it came for Fleet Week this spring. My DH asked the Duty Officer if he could give us a tour and he showed us the Wardroom and some staterooms, pretty neat. My hubby is usually on Subs so to see an actual ship was a treat for us. We went and saw the USS New York for it's commissing on Veterns Day, that was pretty impressive too.
So, I take it your hubby wont be wearing his uniform for formal? I thought I read something you wrote about that, not sure though. My hubby wore his last time and plans to wear it again this time. Many people do!
Anyhow, I look forward to meeting you on the ship. How old are your kids?
