January 2016 pre trip and trip reports.

Garneska, we rode by, no one was out. Will try again. We did run into bjschil and DH, very nice couple. We meet alot of nice people from Wisconsin. :)

Glad you made it in safe and sound, Melissa.

2goofycampers- Keep the pics coming. It looks great down there, especially for January.

Garmeska, we are sorry we were not home. We will swing by tomorrow. 2goofycampers, it was wonderful to meet you today, and put a face to your name. We learned so much, and know that we are envious of your beautiful home state, Tennessee. We agree with you. We had lunch Sunday, at the Tusker House. Not to our liking. Wow, we did not talk about that!! Tonight we had dinner reservations at Rose and Crown at 7:30, and choose to eat outside. For us cheeseheads, it was a bit cool, "cuz ya know" we are in Florida, and we're not going to bring out our cold weather gear! Anyhow, a long dinner process, Illuminations was wonderful, and we are sug as a bug, warm and toasty now. . Tomorrow is a slower day, nothing until later afternoon at the Magic Kingdom with DD, DSNL, and GC. They leave on Saturday, we recoup for an additional six days. We are in site 1420, or if you see us, we are the golf cart with the inflatable clowns. From time to time, they look like they have been tipped! Beep, yell, or at least, yell go Go Packers! We need all the help we can round up!!!

Thanks for all the great pics @2goofycampers!

Hey, hey @garneska did you see those new dog bowls? I think the kids need some new Mikey supplies.

@bjschil sorry your didn't like your dinner at AK. Breastfast/brunch is one if my favorites there.

It's 5am and I'm up and everyone else is still sleeping. An improvement from yesterday's 4:15 wake. I can't sleep in while here, just too excited I guess.

Today we check out of AoA and swing by the All Stars for to pick up our oldest daughter's and her BF's luggage then move on over to the Fort. They are heading to MK/Epoct today then back to MK for the EMHs. They are 19/20 and have the energy for that kind of hopping.

AoA is pretty good.

Have a magical day all.

I have noted everyone's site number and hope to cross paths with you all. Feel free to swing by our site too.

Currently sitting in site 716. We go home (Tampa) tomorrow but with FL annual passes we'll be back next month. We try to make it over once a month.

Like last year, I do the majority of my TR when I return. I don't have a laptop with me and my phone is not the best for typing detailed posts and pictures.

I hope you have had a fairly easy set up day, Melissa. We will find pyou sometime this weekend. Stay warm. We are in site 1420.

Last day for the Osborne Lights! It was pretty busy. So glad we got to see it. It is beautiful and mesmerizing. The Star Wars fireworks are amazing, don't miss them. We ate at Hollywood and Vine, it was pretty good. It was chilly and drizzled all morning, still better than being home.

We drove around this evening looking for some of you. We will take the site numbers with us & hope to meet everyone. Few nights ago we meet Chris, Bert & the two beautiful rock stars. Enjoyed our short visit. We had gone down to the Settlement to watch the fire works tonight & on our way home saw them crossing the street. Spent most of the day @ Magic Kingdom.

2Goofycampers, your pictures are amazing. We soent the day at the Magic Kingdom. Fairly light crowds. Had lunch at BOG, and we're back by 6:30. Took a quick ride over to HS for one last look at the Osborn lights. They will be missed. We just got back, did a bit of looping, and are in for a warm up! Tomorrow is DD birthday, and we are going to spend a 1/2day at HS, then back for supper at the Fort. They leave on Saturday, back to the frozen tundra. Godspeed, it has been an awesome trip to spend with them. Nothing greater than seeing amazing Disney through the next generation.

I was not purposefully slacking on my update yesterday. The plan was to get up early and start work by 7 so that we could head to the expo at 4. I got up, got a short run in, we walked dogs and started work at 7 everything went according to plan. Then work happened. I had a rather long meeting that was supposed to be 1.5 hours and ate into about 5 hours of my day. At 5 the Internet died so I said I was done and we went to the expo. For some reason the last two trips the Internet is not stable, not the wifi but the cable coming in. It has been better this trip than Nov though. We did ok at the expo not too crowded. However since we got out late everything was backed up. Decided to go to Trail's End for dinner. Then we walked dogs. The plan was to try and get ready for bed by 8 but did not happen it was 8:30. We are trying to go to bed early and get up early. Last night at 9:15 someone pulled into their site. We had our windows open so you could hear the truck engine and squeaking, so could the kids. It put yeti on the defensive and he stayed by the door and barked at everything. No we did not get to sleep as early as we would have liked.

We did get up early today 4:30. We took the dogs for a walk and again started work at 7. Thankfully my day sucked less. I did have to go back to the expo did get my coral changed. That is a long story but I am now in Coral I. We are cooking tonight and then walking dogs. Hope to hit up the 1400 and 1500 loop tonight and bed early again.

Here are a few pics.

I will also post this on the kicking it thread.

I am not a morning person when I am required to get up before 7. I think that is one reason why I could not run. Stinks when you are trying to get to sleep early and everything is going on outside. I am well aware of that with my lil bug. She barks at everything and I swear even at herself passing gas.

Sorry I don't get to see you this round Kris. I really do need to find a job where I can work where there is internet. I do 99% of my job from DC, it should not matter where I do it from since I never actually see the equipment im installing or configuring from afar.

I wish you the best on the run, we are 37 days from departure but I think I am going to enjoy this a bit more with the new truck.

Today was a beautiful day at Fort Wilderness. We went to HS, a short day, to celebrate DD's birthday. YIKES, where did the years go by? Came back, and we all went to the pool. Later, we drove by and met Melissa and Dan, and their two precious children. Their site is very organized, and she is one brave woman, tent camping. I remember those days, and admire all those who continue to camp in tents. Organization is the key, and Melissa wins that award. Our husbands farmed for quite some time. I think they have the 2016 corn crop and weather all figured out for 2016 in the upper Midwest. Just as we were getting ready to eat our birthday supper, Bert and Kris stopped by with their rock stars. A short visit, and we hope we will meet up again with them after the marathon. Precious and lucky dogs to have someone love and care for them as they do. We have two more busy day with our DD, SNL, and three grandkids, then some down time!!! The loops still have several open spots, so it is apparent the quiet time is settling in.

Great to meet you Barb. The dogs had a nice long walk which is good with the rain this morning I don't think they will get a walk till after work. Melissa we stopped by but no one was home. It was around sing a long time and thought you might be there. After visiting with Barb, Mallory saw her BFF CorgiDad. We still managed to be in bed early. Slept in a bit this morning till 5. Tomorrow and Sunday will be early days. Am hoping no rain like it is now. Not fun for the 10k going on.
