January 2016 Discount Code Watch

For the S/P/D does the entire family have to have park tickets? Going in January and DH and I have 3 day from a non expiring ticket. We were going to purchase 1 day ticket and purchase 4 day tickets for the kids. Will this work? Or will I need to purchase 4 day tickets for all of us?
The entire family has to be on the same package, meaning they all have to have the same tickets and same dining plan.

I couldn't find it on the Disney website. Does anyone have the specifics for the discounts? Is it posted anywhere?
It will not appear on the Disney website until it becomes available for the general public. The Visa offer has to be booked by phone.

Thank you...I was like 90% sure that is what you meant but just wanted to be sure. Holding out hope for a discount for B.L.T. and crossing my toes!!!
Bay Lake Tower is excluded from the discount. :(

As it turns out OKW and SSR are also booked as far as points go so I couldn't rent. I ended up calling back and I was quoted a room only Visa discount for 2 adults for 3 nights at POP 398.43 for a standard or 422.11 for preferred. We are going during the marathon weekend so inventory is very limited. Oh well not a bad deal for 3 nights so I'm happy. Good luck all!

Saved $91.11 on POFQ room only Jan 21-26. Not much, but better than nothing. Covers a meal, I figure!

For those who were offered room only for POFQ, can I ask your approximate travel dates? I was told there were no discounts for first week of January for POFQ

Booked Poly standard room - 2/29 - 3/7 with Plus Dining and 8 day park hopper, 2 adults, 2 children - $6210.06. Room discount was 25%.

We are planning to check in on January 9th, which is a Saturday. Someone mentioned weekends being excluded. Does anyone have further information regarding weekend exclusions? I haven't had time to call as I'm working. We always check in on a Saturday, so now I'm wondering if I will need to revise my plans. I plan to do the RO discount not S/P/D!

I'm checking in on a Friday and had no problem so I doubt weekends are excluded. MLK weekend might be blocked, but otherwise I think you should be fine. What I will tell you is if you want a moderate resort the SPD pkg is limited for that weekend and I was only offered a superior room at a high price.

We are checking in on Jan 9th, too, and need a room only discount. I can't call until tonight when phone lines will be crazy. So far it looks like the marathon weekend is included in the discount.

I'm still so confused about this discount.... :(
We booked a stay in July for January 3rd-9th 2016. We've been making payments on it regularly but still owe about 2500. It's for POR, regular dining, and park hopper tickets. Can the discount that is going live for the general public sometime in the near future be used for an already established trip that payments have been made on??
This is our first ever trip to Disney and I appreciate the help!

Anybody else stay put without a discount? We are going in February and are at the LM room at Art of Animation. Could have saved $350 to switch to Pop, or spend $950 more to have a suite at AOA but are staying put.

Yes, if there is availability for your resort and room type then they can apply the discount. It doesn't matter what you have already paid for the original reservation.

I didn't have any reservations but I really wanted to stay at POFQ, even though I knew it usually isn't discounted. I decided to just settle for POR so I could get the discount which I booked this morning. Then I decided I really wanted to stay at FQ and it would only be $150 more for 9 nights and it was worth the extra cost so I cancelled POR and booked POFQ online at full price. Now I'm seeing it might be discounted or has been discounted for some people so I guess I will be calling on my next break at work. So stressful! But worth it!

i just hung up from placing a new reservation with the visa discount, and i WAS able to get French Quarter standard view Mon. 2/1 through Fri. 2/5 with a 15% discount (crossing fingers for better AP later). so POFQ definitely has rooms available, but i'm not sure if only going weekdays helped me out at all.

Ok, I just signed up for a Visa. Hope I get to book today! I've been waiting for discounts to come out, since I'm not super attached to any particular location. Too bad you can't book online though, calling is such a PiTA!

I agree! Booking online is much easier.

I am staying put without a discount, unfortunately. My dates at Old Key West weren't available for the discount.

I was told weekends are excluded for Values and Moderates.
