Add me and my DD (will be 8) to the list! I'm planning on 1/28-2/3 and wanting to try out the AoA. Will be our first time there, but my single-parent, just graduating college in December budget won't allow anything more expensive! So yes, I'm hoping for a discount too!!

As I said before, I'm graduating college in December and so this will be celebrating that 16-yr journey and also as a last Hoo-rah before I start a "real" job and we possibly have to move for it.

DD has been twice now, I've been 3 times; this time is JUST a mommy-daughter trip and I'm planning on surprising her (never was able to last two times). I'm hoping I can keep it a secret until I wake her up to go to the airport. If I could convince her we're going to Gramma's house or something and have the airport a surprise would be even better....

Anyone else getting impatient for the packages to come out? We usually have to setup a payment program and with the adoption of 3 more teenagers we REALLY have to plan! I've been giving out Disney Dollars as incentives for my girls and have been saving out "deposit" money on a gift card. I was told by a CM on the phone (I know, I took it with a grain of salt) that the packages will be out in June. I know she was probably wrong, but I have hope that she wasn't. I am rambling, just getting impatient. When we can book it seems like we are really going.

We plan on going early January. DH, DD (20), me, and then older DD with her DH and my two adorable DGS. I don't remember ever being so over anxious to start planning. We've been going yearly for about 12 years. I'm a big planner, but I think the reason I'm so anxious is because it's so different from years ago. Now, there's so much planning involved and waiting for discounts. We've all committed to going in January, but it won't seem real until I start making reservations, either hotel/package or air.

I hope the weather is better than the end of January thus year. It rained for 3 days straight and was cold. By the time it warmed up, we had colds. Cheerleaders ruled the parks also.

Well I think the weather everywhere was certainly unusual and extreme this winter. Here's to hoping Mother Nature gets it together soon! Even spring here in Ohio is horrible. It was 40° last weekend.

We still have ice on Lake Superior. Got great pictures on Wednesday. Grew up here and have never seen ice this late in the season. We've had a couple days hit 70 but still have the ice!

First Jan trip for us! (jan 24- feb 1) We always go Nov, Vet day week. Excited for lower crowds and airfare. Don't mind 60s, just hope it's sunny. Best part is I'm piggybacking on a conference letting us get 50% off Grand Floridian, which will be a real treat for us. Crossing fingers for minimal ride refurbs. Any chance Splash will be open by end of Jan?

It has been, Jan used to be the only time of year we went and I've been on it then. But in the last few years it's been down that same time frame.

We're also going late Jan into early Feb.! So excited. We've never been during this time frame before and I'm excited about the low crowd aspect!

We're hoping for the military salute again-- wanting to try the contemporary this trip! Then we're thinking of trying the dining plan for the first time . We may just do the quick service then pay out of pocket for a few character dining meals (chef Mickey's and Cinderella's royal table). Last time I budgeted for one quick service and one sit down , but we rarely did the sit down other than our prior reservations for special dining/character meals.

We are hoping to go Jan 3-6 to celebrate my grandson's 14th birthday. I'm planning to stay deluxe for the first and probably only time. He has always wanted to stay at Poly but the construction worries me.

Splash has been down for rehab end of Jan/beginning Feb. every year as long as I can remember. Water rides need yearly upkeep unfortunately. It's become the norm, kinda like the crane behind the castle.
