Thanks, so if you sign into insiders it automatically gives that discount? I know I have to type in the above mentioned, but wasn't sure if I needed to do something extra for the insiders.
Thanks everyone for sharing the coupon codes, I was able to use to get for a week 4-11th for 99 from Alamo this morning. However Im crazy frustrated bc we are actually coming in Jan 3rd-11th and if I tried to book those 8 days it would have been $380 for a compact. BUT if I split up my week and booked a car for 3rd-4th, and 4th-11th it came to $50 +$99 ($150 total). Which sucks bc when my DD3 is taking a nap on Sunday I am going to have to go all the way back to the airport to check in and back out the rental car. Its worth it for the HUGE savings but Alamo said that it was the only way to get the better rate.
Thank you! Just booked Alamo with the Costco codes and got $113 total for a midsize for Jan 28 to Feb 4. Very happy!
Following emmabelle's advice, I played with the times with my reservation and was able to get a midsize for Jan 24-31 for $113.
Used Costco and Alamo inside member codes.
I saw this and thought those are almost my dates. We're there 1/31 to 2/6 and I was paying $156 for a compact.
I started playing with the dates and times and after a few minutes I realized if I changed my time of pickup to 9:30am instead of 10am, the price for a compact dropped from $184 to $131. (the price had gone up from the $156 I got a few days ago)
So glad that you posted your info!![]()
I logged into my Alamo Insider's account and used Costco I.D. 7014627 and

It used to work to book an economy car, and since they didn't actually have any - they would upgrade you to a larger car at no charge. But first they would try to talk you into paying for an upgrade... if you kept saying "no", you would get the upgrade for free anyway. I did this for years, and never once had an econobox. Since that era has ended, and the cost difference between the lower few classes of cars has become so small, might as well book what you need.
BTW: My rate has not gone down recently. We are in Orlando for 10 days (9 nights) at $158 total for a "full size" using the aforementioned codes.
