January 2013 Discounts

I'm trying to patiently wait for RO or FD for january. Preferably FD. Hard to be patient when u want to book lol.

Booo we're out of the running for September. I found out I start student-teaching much earlier than planned. Blah.

Have great trips, everyone!!

Just wanted to say super cute pictures and want to say Thank you for your DH's service and yours too. Being a military wife isn't easy. God bless and protect you both.pixiedust:

Subbing! My family wants to go Jan 7-13 to celebrate my dad's birthday and my mom wants to run her first half marathon. Crossing my fingers for free dining but any type of discount would be awesome.

The room only discount for August/September ends in two days for booking trips. Does that mean another room only discount (hopefully for January) could be coming out soon after the booking period ends?

Am I the only one on here hoping for a RO discount? :confused3

I'm hoping for a RO discount too-- have gotten one for the last four January trips so keeping fingers crossed for this year too!

I think last year's was released in October though. We may have a couple more months of waiting ahead of us!

In the past, what kind of RO discounts were offered for mid-January for deluxe resorts? Does it work out to be better than FD? We are hoping for POLY Jan 18-22. Thanks!

We've gotten anything from 30-40% off, I think?

This year it was 35% off Poly in January. But this fall it's only been 20% off Poly. :(

Anyone remember what kind of RO discounts were offered for Value resorts, particularly Pop Century last Jan? It seems like they are lower than the higher priced resort discounts.

We have reservations for AoA for Jan 25th thru the 29th. We are flexible & could add a day or 2 if it meant a great promo. Historically it looks like we will qualify...

Thoughts if there will be a min. number of nights for the free dining? Right now you have to stay 6 but I'm pretty sure it's been fewer before.

I really want to get the flights booked because I like those prices but would hate to miss a promo by a day or 2.

Oh.... Do you have to stay 6 nights to qualify for the fall/winter FD? I didn't know that....

I thought you 'usually' had to stay 2 or 3 nights?

I'm also getting sick of not booking the flights :p lol.... It gets more exspensive everyday!
And actually it's just silly that I haven't booked yet, because the chances of my dates being included in FD is pretty bad :( but i'm crossing my fingers and hope for some pixie dust :D

I've seen the room discounts and FD available for 4 and 5 night stays before. Timing the airfare is always the hard part.

NO. Thankfully, you do NOT have to stay 6 nights. The current promotion is a minimum of three nights at a WDW hotel with a minimum of 2 day base tickets.
Disney likes to "promote" longer stays by running ads for longer amounts of nights, but that is not the actual sale.

Sorry if this doesn't post correctly but here we go!

I will be running in the January half marathon at WDW and I booked my room through RunDisney. They told me I couldn't book a Magic Your Way Package and that I need to book park tickets separately. Which I did. I was also told to wait to book the Dining Plan until "later" but now I am wondering how I can go about booking Free Dining if that becomes available for the dates I am there. Does anyone know how you can apply a discount like Free Dining if you already booked your room with RunDisney?:confused3

I may be wrong, but I think that any Disney promotions have to be booked through Disney. Plus, you cannot stack promotions so if your room is at all discounted, FD will not work. Also, FD is part of a package so you have to buy tickets with the room and dining. Actually, you have to buy a package with room and tickets to get the meal plan, period (unless you are DVC or AP).
Also, it appears that FD is not typically offered marathon weekend.

I would call RunDisney back & talk to someone else. We are going in Sept for the Tower of Terror race. I was able to book our room at one of the race resorts plus get 5 day base park tickets for our family of 3. I could have added the DDP if I wanted to. The only thing about booking through RunDisney is that you can't get Free Dining or any other type of discount. But, they should be able to book your room, tickets, & dining plan.

I want to book for January, just sitting here :surfweb: waiting for FD to be announced :rolleyes1, I don't know how much longer I can stand it...

I have been making a game plan and started planning, but now I am ready to book it....:cloud9: PLeasssssssssssssssssse let free dinning come out.

This trip will mean so much to my mom (70th birthday surprise), and it will be our 1st mother daughter only trip. I am so excitied to book and really get into planning.
I want to make ADR's I am sure of the dates, but might be able to stretch another night if FD works out. I am pretty sure should I go ahead and make them. Should I go ahead and make them at least?

Pleasssssssssssssssssse!!!!!pixiedust:
