January 2012 code watch :-)

I am in the middle of booking my January vacation for 2012. Prices came out last week. All resort prices went up $15 - $75 depending. Jumping on this thread hoping to find discounts!

Add me to those watching for a discount. We're going for 2 weeks somewhere between MLK day and Presidents Day. Looking to stay at CBR. Hoping for free dining, as we'd be getting the dining plan anyways, so that would save us the most money, but if not, 4 for 3 is a pretty good discount too ;)

Going down with my family Jan 2-8 as well. My sisters and I are running the half marathon. Already have rooms booked at POP but hoping some type of extra discount will come out! :cool1:

We are going 1/7-14 for my graduation and 2 birthdays. We are booked at BLT, but are trying to help family get down there too. So now we are needing to add another room, but they are wanting to go cheap.

So what is a PIN, AP, etc.? I don't know any of the lingo or how to get discounts for disney. Can anyone help?

We will be going for 10 days during marathon weekend. DBF mother will be coming down later and is hoping for 4/3. Let us know if you hear anything.

Subbing. We'll be booking through RCI but hoping to add on a few days to the front side of our trip.

We're also hoping for a good discount in Jan. We're planning to come 1/2-1/8. Our last trip was in 2009 and we did the 4/3 offer. I'm still trying to figure out where we'll stay. :confused3 Our last 2 visits were at the Poly and we LOVE it there. I just can't justify the money this time around unless there's a good discount. We're actually considering off site for the first time. Ugh...I just don't know what to do. I'm hoping a good code could make the decision easier.

Have you considered either the Wilderness Lodge or Safari? They are the cheapest deluxe resorts and around $200 - $300 a night. I have stayed at the WL and adored it! The maids were always leaving me cute animal towels, and one maid even left me made up washcloths with faces which I still have! The inside and outside are beautiful.

Rack rates for WL & AKL in value season 2012 start at $265/night. Weekend rates are higher than week days. For your dates of Jan 2 - 8 the rate would be $265 nightly for your first 3 nights and $310 nightly for the last 3 nights. Standard view in either of these resorts could give you a view overlooking rooftops, loading docks or bus transportation.

We've selected AKL, pool view, for our February stay. That is an additional $10 per night but I feel it will be well worth it. Still, I'll cancel our room only reservation if a nice discount does not come through.

Upgrading at WL to a woods view is more expensive than upgrading to a pool view at AKL.

Here's keeping my fingers crossed for all of us.

Our family will be there the 8th-15th and hoping to book the Poly. Haven't pulled the trigger yet to book though. This will be our first onsite - and our daughter's first trip that she can remember (she was there right before she turned 2). We're looking for MAGIC! :)

We are hoping to stay onsite Jan 2 to 6th. DD wants to run the 5k on the day we fly home! We have a late flight. Hoping for a PIN code for some the dates.

Subbing! DH and I are heading down for adults-only trip (our 3 boys aren't happy!) for the marathon 1/5-1/9.
Keeping fingers crossed for at least a room discount (or maybe even free dining). Booked now at POFQ.

Just booked our absolutely magical vacation! January 8-15 at the Poly, club level with dining. And a view. OMGosh - I can't wait! This is a once in a lifetime (without kids anyway!) vacation with those types of amenities. (COME ON CODES!)

Something to look forward to in the dead of winter in Minnesota!

We might be there those same dates, a rather unplanned/last minute trip. (Well, 'last minute' for me, who usually books things at least a year in advance. LOL) We've never stayed onsite...usually we're there during Spring Break and it's always been more cost effective to stay offsite. Maybe this time we'll try one of the resorts...some sort of code would make it even better! ;)

Waiting for codes for January 24th to February for Jayce's first trip (well, first one outside my belly!). This is the longest we have been between trips in a long time and we usually go every September so it's a hard wait here! I have my dates but nothing yet either which is also strange since we always have a trip booked even when we are on a trip, we have another one booked! Last year the codes came out in July but nothing yet. If free dining we will go to a resort, if not, we will rent someone's DVC. Mom coming with us this trip which she does every few years. Always causes trouble since I have to board the dog then, she hates the heat, we will need a second room, she doesn't get up before 11ish, etc. BUT still excited!:)
