Hi ! this is my first post : )
I wanted to have your opinion concerning a reservation. Im planning on going to WDW in late January. I already booked a room using the room-only discount on the special offers page (-25% at values) and then added to it the tickets with the magic your way package. Im hesitating about something though. I often receive pin code offers with the values being discounted anywhere from -25% to -35%. I was wondering if you think I should cancel my current reservation and wait and see if I get offered a -35% pin code. Thanks in advance for you opinion!
Hi and welcome!
I am in the same boat. I have been receiving a steady supply of pin codes for about 2 years now. We have reservations for the second week of January using the recently released general public room-only code. I had the same thought as you did but decided to keep my reservation as is. With free dining and a room-only code being offered during the same time, there is a good chance that the discounted rooms will sell out. I don't want to risk that, so I'm willing to settle for a (slightly) lesser discount. I have read many reports of people receiving pin codes, even when they hold current reservations, so the there is a possibility you could still receive one. If that is the case, then you simply call CRO and have them apply it it your existing reservation. If not, then you still have a decent discount and you don't have to fret over the next several months if you have a room or not. Just my $0.02...others may feel differently.
