January 20111...let's start planning

I finally booked our trip for Jan. 2-7 at POR and got the free dining, saving us a little over $500!! :woohoo: We're super excited to finally be at this stage! Now I just have to look for flights...

Booked yesterday for POP 1/26-2/2 (FREE DINING) and got airfare today.

From Philadelphia to MCO for $200 RT each Southwest. Thanks to the DISers who announced they opened up the dates today!! We paid the extra $10 pp for priority boarding since we have 3 kids and need to make sure we are all together.

Can't beat the NO BAG fees either!!!!

Will be back in Disney in Jan. Dates are a little jumpy since we will be on the Disney Magic right in the middle of the trip. Can't wait to see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter too. It will be my families first trip to Universal. It will be weird going off of Disney property.

But, so excited!

LOL - I just had to point out that your date reads 20111..... I dont think any of us will live that long. HAHA!

We will be at AKV from January 12 - 16! It will be our first DVC stay since buying into DVC.

Booked yesterday, staying at POP Century Jan 30 - Feb 5 2011.
Got free dining, upgraded to DDP. Was grandfathered in so get DDP all days including the 4th and 5th (blackout days).

We are celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary. Wow 9 years!!
Booked LeCellier for our anniversary dinner! So excited about that. Love that Prime Rib. Also got WCC for arrival night. It is DH's favorite place to eat, so he is thrilled.

Saving over $550 with FD, love FD. :cloud9:

Now it is sit back and wait, try not to change my ADRs (they are all set). Tick....Tock....Tick.....Tock. Too many days to wait to be this focused on a vacation over 4 months away.

It's official. January 5 - 11, 2011 for us! Just the kiddo and I this time because my husband won't be able to get his R&R until February so he'll be in Afghanistan while we're having fun at WDW. But, he'll be home for ou 19th wedding anniversary on February 14th so I'm happy with that!

We just got back two weeks ago from our trip, and I'm having such withdrawals. Then, DB says, 'why don't we go in January before our classes start?!' Since we are pass holders, we might as well take advantage of that! I'm super excited, as I've never experienced Disney in January. We always go in July, so this should be exciting! I don't know dates yet, but when I do, I'll sure be posting!! :goodvibes

We booked today :yay: We're going January 21-Feb 2, staying at Pop with free dining. Upgraded to the regular dining plan and made most of our dining reservations today!!!

Just booked our first family vacation to see the Mouse on Jan 4 - 10

....then grandma and grandpa will be flying home with DS while DH, DSis, DBros, and I head to Universal Studios for two days! Harry Potter here we come!:woohoo:

So if anyone sees a grown woman absolutely beside herself at the WWoHP on Jan 11, that would be me :jumping1:

Let the official countdown begin! :rotfl:

Does anyone know when the scheduled refurb for Splash Mountain is? I know it's typically in January.... I really want to go on it, so I'm hoping it's not when we are there! (Not that it's the be all and end all, if it is... just means I'll have to go back!! LOL!)

Booked for Jan 9th-14th at the CBR! So excited. Got all my ADR's too! (trying new restaurants this time around, so hopefully it'll be good) :)

We were there 2/4/10 - 2/10/10 and Splash Mountain was shut down - I'm not sure what date it closed, though. We'll be back from 1/11/11 - 1/18/11, so I REALLY hope it's open! My kids haven't been on it yet!

Sorry Brewhome, but Splash Mountain usually closes for rehab shortly after New Years. It's the one negative to visiting Disney World in January. It's one of my favorite rides.

We are also going -Jan 2nd-7th. The kids ds (8) and dd (6), (dd (4 months) will be staying with the grandparents) have no clue as it will be a Christmas present.

I am sooooooo excited!

We'll be going the last week of January (26th)- Feb 2. Staying at the Pop Century, our first "value" stay, but I am looking forward to it. The theming looks so FUN!

Also taking a day to visit Harry Potter- a must on the kids' list!

Our dates are finally set 1/23-1/28. We are planing on staying at All Star Movies since our kids are young and we think they would get the most out of this one. We have two reservations holding one with AAA and one with Dreams Unlimited. Anyone have a suggestions which was I should go. Im new to all this. Ive only gone twice and I was much younger. This is our first vacation down there as a family and my DH and kids first visit there ever!! Im kind of lost in a sea of the "unknown". There is so much stuff to wade through. We looked into buying the points and staying at the AKV but it ends up being more expensive because we would have to pay for the dining plan seperately. Any tips for me?? What do you guys that have been down there multiple times normally do? Sorry in advance that Im a "newbie" and have so many questions. Ive already learned so much from these boards.

My BF and I are going Jan 10-14th, this will be his second trip to WDW and my ninth trip. This will be his second time at the POP and my first! Haha. I'm so so soooo excited to be going (even though I was just there with family in April 2010 hehe). I cannot stop talking about it. :yay:

Myself, DH, DD10 & DD5 will be staying at POP 1/11-1/17. Looks like it will be a Disney Christmas at our house! Makes it great when you can give them lots of fun Disney things as gifts!! And then be able to pack it all for them to use on the trip!!
