Can't believe we only have 34 days left! We can use our 30 days to Disney countdown rings this week!

Boy do we need this trip too! Doing the happy dance!

I do have quite a list of things to do before Christmas to get ready...finish hair bows...finish pillowcase shirts...make tie dye pillowcases...pack for our Christmas trip...get school work done with our girls (we homeschool) since we'll be out for about 2 weeks between Christmas and Disney.

Lots to do...not a lot of time. Funny how the trip always "sneaks up" at the last minute.

We can't wait! We are staying at Port Orleans. We started as a once in a lifetime trip in 2005. Then we went again in 2007, 2009, 2010 and now 2011. We can't get enough. We love the weather down south - it's always so cold here in OH in Jan. Of course, in 2010, we did have rain and it was "cold" by FL standards but still better an Ohio!

39 days left! The days are just zooming by now! I can't wait, just a few things to get done before our trip and then hope that everyone cooperates to make this trip run even semi smooth! We now have reservations at Cape May for breakfast on 1/19 (day after my b-day) for 16 of us, dessert party on 1/16 for 6 of us (adults only), and discovery cove on 1/17 for my neice and I! Of course though I also have 2 family members fighting with everyone.....wonderful! It's been said that I don't care who decides to fight with who, I am going on this trip and I'm going to find a way to have fun with or without them! I've spent too much on this to not enjoy myself! I think I am the only person that has ever been this excited for their 30th b-day!

Oh yeah, almost forgot, my 15 month old son (actually yesterday he was exactly 15 months) said Tigger yesterday! I have been showing him pictures of the actual characters from the parks (hoping he's not afraid of them) and I showed him Winnie the Pooh and Tigger and told him who they were, then he pointed to the screen and said "Tigger" I about died! The only actual words that he says are Mama, Dada, Grandma, and bye.

This may have been posted already...It's been a while since I"ve been over here, but if anyone is hoping for the Wishes Dessert Party, it HAS been extended. I made reservations for Jan 21. It's now called the tomorrowland terrace fireworks dessert buffet or something like that. Some CMs are not aware that it has been extended, but it has...

So far we have still kept this trip a secret for my newphew...Only 38 days until we leave!!!

We're trip buddies! We booked the Dessert Party too, but for the 16th. When I called the day after Thanksgiving, the CM had no idea. I knew b/c I heard rumors on here, and even read about a few people having reservations. She told me that it was ending the first week of January, but then said "Oh no, wait a minute it is the whole month of January!" So excited, this is my little birthday treat! We did adults only (mainly b/c my kids are too little and I don't want to stuff them full of that much sugar!) It's just me, hubby, sister, BIL, and DH's aunt and possibly uncle. We didn't even ask the rest of our crew b/c they are complaining about money. Seriously, after I paid how much money for this trip (we paid for their resorts and park tickets) they are complaining about having to spend money on food.

Thanks for the heads up on the Wishes Dessert Party. We just booked it for the 23rd as a surprise for the grandparents. Now, if Jan. would just hurry up and get here.

Yeah, we were able to exchange through RCI and get a 2 bedroom at OKW so we invited the BIL, SIL and DN to go with us. They only had to pay for tickets, food, 1/2 of the gas to get there and back and 1/2 of the exchange fee. I think they are paying less than $100 for the room. I don't think you can get a much better deal than that! I hope you guys have a great time. I can't wait for the dessert party. I hope the view of the fireworks is good.

LOL too funny, we exchanged through RCI too. We got 2, 2BR units at BCV. I had to pay about $2400, but I paid my DH's aunts yearly fees since we used a bunch of her points (she is coming with, and our deal from the beginning was that we would provide hotel and park tickets) and then exchange fees on actually 3 units b/c we had SSR for one first, but another BCV came up and we switched, still I don't think $1200/unit for BCV is bad. We were probably looking at $2800 for all of the rooms we would have needed at POP, which was were we staying originally. Hope you enjoy your trip too!

Just paid the balance on our trip last night. Now it's official and there's no backing out now! I keep sending DH emails at work everyday with just the number of days left.

Only 45 days!! Made my final payment yesterday. So, I concider it official now. We are so excited!!
The level of excitement has definately gone up on this board as we all get closer and are hitting the 30 or 45 day mark.

I have heard of this. But what is it and how does it work? I want to play too!! I know some Disers put a lime green Mickey head on there door or window. I have read that you can get the paint sample head at Lowes, etc. Do you put it on your door or window? What do you do if you see one?
I need a lime green Mickey head tutorial.
