January 2011!!

:thumbsup2 I just searched the Dis board and feel SO much more in the know.
We are now going to be decorating our window. :) I will have a lime green mickey head on the window w/ my Dis user name on it. Going to put a Mickey head on our backpacks. :) And hopefully I will put a white board on the door.
This is going to be so fun!! :woohoo:
Can't wait to watch for all my fellow Disers. :cool1:
Please feel free to leave more suggestions. :)

hooray for all of us! we are getting so close now! im 34 days away! anybody else ready to pack!? :rotfl:

Getting so excited that in 42 days I will be back in my favorite place with my favorite person.

Does any body know when the Magical Express documents arrive?

I will have my lime Green Mickey on as well.:thumbsup2

I wasn't sure of I should post this here or on the December one, but...

I have a last minute trip to Orlando for December 28-Jan 3 for the Capital One Bowl. We are staying with family near Cocoa Beach and have one full park day on the 2nd.

For more info click on the link to my Trip Report in my sig!

Hi all! We're leaving on January 3, but I'm getting a bit nervous because I haven't received the 'Mickey Mail' yet... Should I call Disney or is it still early? :confused3

We're leaving on January 2nd and we just got ours on Friday. I would give it a few more days.

We leave Jan 5th & got the Magical Express tix in the mail last week. I'd call tomorrow if you don't get it then.

I am SO EXCITED about the trip - Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Years, Disney - half marathon - birthday-home from Disney & then an extra day off to get a massage! Wahoo!

Finally broke 40 today! This trip has been rescheduled twice already and I'm really hoping there are no more surprises to disrupt this trip.

We leave on January 22nd taking the AutoTrain. Check in to a 2 bedroom at SSR on January 23rd and then move to a 2 bedroom at AKV-K on the 29th and head back home on the AutoTrain on Feb. 3rd.

Can't wait:goodvibes

Just checked it out...24 days until I am back in the blissful state known as vacation.

Pop Century, Disney Magic, Pop Century. Sounds grand to me!!!

Only 30 days left to wait! It's gonna (hopefully) go by so fast! It seems like just yesterday I started counted down from 380, so I'm hoping time doesn't come to a standstill! I figure with Christmas next week and then New Years, and then I will be busy with year end at work and packing at home I should be making our 17 hour trek in no time!

I'm getting more and more nervous though as this trip gets closer. My inlaws really have no idea what they are getting into. This is their first trip (for all of them, DH's youngest brother and wife did take their daughter once but she was just 12 months old and they went for a day and tried to do 3 parks), half of them don't understand that there is more than 1 park and the other half think they will see absolutely everything. Then I have the ones that if things don't go the way they want to they will throw a tantrum (I'm talking adults here, not the children. I'm really feeling stupid for thinking that I could pull off a trip with 20 people! I've planned this trip for the last 3 years of my life and as it gets closer the more I wonder why I came up with this crazy idea in the first place! My thoughts are that if people start to get annoying I'm turning around and walking straight for a park, b/c I can't be unhappy in one of the parks.

Also, I'm seeing everyone posting about getting their "Mickey Mail". This is actually making me sad! This is the first time we haven't done a package and instead booked through RCI. I always get so excited when I get the "Mickey Mail", it just doesn't seem real without seeing that in the mail! I can print off my confirmations and everything, but it still just doesn't seem real! Oh well, enough of my rant! Just got to look at the bright side and realize that in 31 days I will be in the "World!":cool1:

Got my Mickey Mail the other day! It's so exciting to open it and see Magical Express luggage tags and DCL luggage tags! :smickey:

So wait, what is the Mickey Mail? What comes in it? I remember we got a package with luggage tags last time. If we aren't doing the Magical Express, will we not get one?

Just booked a long weekend at the end of January.. 27th -30th.. I am ready right now.

Oh and staying at the Poly for the first time.

46 days to go, and I just made the final payment! Woo hoo! :cool1:

I am SO looking forward to surprising my kids on Christmas morning with the trip and some goodies! The looks on their faces will be priceless!

Happy holidays, everyone!!

Magical Express is a separate package. The luggage tags come with the booklet that has your reservattion information in it along with all of the vouchers for the MYW package.

:surfweb: Okay.
So I know half the fun of going to disney is tinkering w/ your dining ressies, making slight adjustments to plans here and there. I assumme most people stop that at 45 days out and just anticipate. :rolleyes1
I am 39 days out and I've been thinking and looking at a few things.
Right now our agenda to drive to St. Louis on 1/23 spend the night and catch the 6:30am flight and arrive MCO at 10am. It's all booked and paid for. .... so I was just thinking, in the grand scheme of things how much more would it cost to stay at Disney instead of STL that night? only about $30 taking meals and all into account!!:thumbsup2
:cool1: So ... if sometime in the next 35 days SW puts their flights back on sale and I can get the flight on the 23rd for close to the same price as I now have on the 24th ... and if they have room at the Pop on 1/23 (which I'm assumming should not be too far fetched in late Jan. :thumbsup2), then we will catch the 1:30pm flight on the 23rd, arrive MCO about 5pm grab some dinner at the Pop. Our luggage should be delived between 8 and 9. We can unpack that night, get a good night sleep and hit the parks bright and early the 24th. :woohoo: AND we won't have to get up at 4am to catch the early morning flight. :dance3:
So maybe this all does hang on a lot of "ifs" :rotfl2:
Doesn't this sound like a good idea? :thumbsup2
:cool1: am I completely nuts or does anyone else tinker this late?
