Just changed my trip today! We were booked at POFQ for Feb 17-21, but I did not realize that President's Weekend is suppose to be so busy. So I called and changed my reservations. We are now going Jan 13-17, a month sooner and will be staying at POR.
I am not telling my kids that we changed the date, I'm going to try to surprise them on the day we leave when I pick them up from school.

Awesome - that will blow their minds! Make sure you take pictures when you tell them they're going that day - I'm sure those will be priceless memories!

My girlfriend who is also on the forums and I booked an impulse quick and painless trip to Disney January 10th-14th! First big trip together, and we're so totally excited. With friends who work there, we'll be saving some money on tickets hopefully, but the wallet will suffer for Muppets stuff and Vinylmation.

Going Jan. 15-22 for a Mom and Dad only trip. Staying at POFQ. We decided to make this trip this past Monday. I was saying even though we just went in September with the kids, Mama needs a break. My DH suggest we go. DH called his DM to see if she could come watch the kids and fur babies she said yes and DH checked to see if he could get it off and he can. I called yesterday booked room only with the 30% discount. We have AP so waiting to see if they come out with a discount, if they do I will change to that if it is a better discount then add dining plan.

I love the snow, but on January 7 I'm going to love the break from the Northeast winter to head to WDW for 10 days!!! 59 to go and it can't get here soon enough yet it will be over before I know it!

We finally got to the "less than two months" time! It may only be a day under two months, but I really don't care!



We're looking foward to Thanksgiving in Texas, and Christmas in Ohio, but going to see Mickey in January?!? Yep...the icing on our fall/winter travel cake!

Hi!

I don't know if anybody can start these threads, but I just did, lol!!!

It will be myself, my husband, and our two boys, at time of travel they will be almost 4 and 5 1/2.

We are going January 23rd, (but I'm pushing for the 22nd) to January 30th, 2011. Sooooo excited I don't know how I am possibly going to wait that long.

Staying at the CR, hopefully TPV, depending on finances, but I think it's going to be doable.

I have a 1st draft of my daily plan that I want to post when it gets more detailed, I think this may be a good spot to do it.

Who else is with us in January?

We're going to be there from January 24 to 31 staying at WL (I upgraded us from POR for the 7 nights for only like 500 as a surprise to my wife and kids). I hope the weather is great!

January 14-19th!!! 63 Days!!! SOOOOOOO excited I can't wait! We're staying at the Yacht Club!

We always go in Jan/early Feb and love the lower crowds, value price season, and opportunity to escape Michigan winter for a bit. We actually averted the freak Florida cold snap last year and it was 85 degrees when we landed!

As a trade off (and well worth it), there are always a few closures/rehabs. During our week, among others--Splash Mountain and Kali River Rapids will be in the tail end of their January closure.

We've never ridden either.

Has anyone had the experience of rides opening a day or two early than scheduled rehab date in January?
I won't count on it, just wondering if we had a chance of catching Kali on our last day.
