Shelly~that list has really grown in the last few weeks!!! Congrats on the house! What a fun and exciting (and stressful) time!

On another note...I was on amazon the other day looking to see when the 2010 UG was coming out (or as Andy calls it, my Disney Bible). I hadn't gotten one since 2007 so I thought it was time for an upgrade! ANYWAY-have any of you ever read any of the "trivia" type books (2 I saw were "The hidden Magic of WDW" and "101 Things you Nver Knew about WDW"). Would love some new Disney reading material, but not if it's stuff that us "semi-experts" already know.

Hi everyone! We got back from our trip around 3am this morning (a few delays). We LOVED Pop! I didn't have time to read through what all of you have been talking about, but I see the planning bug is spreading like wildfire around here! Tony really loved staying on property, the DDP, ME, etc but he liked going in January better. We won't be going back this January (unless I win the lottery), but another Jan trip is in the future!

Welcome back Meghan! How was the weather and crowds?

The weather was HOT! I don't know exact temps, but it was definately in the 90's. We got the daily rain shower, but it came at all different times of day. We were prepared because we brought our own ponchos. They weren't those garbage bag ones so that was nice. The crowds weren't that bad in my opinion. Obviously it was busier than January, but we did everything we wanted to do. Actually, our morning at AK was less busy on this trip than it was in January!

I will be starting a TR once I get myself all settled in and get my photos edited.

Have a wonderfully romantic trip!!!!

I was bad and went shopping today but it's okay the shopping bags are already hidden and DH will never know!

I hit the local Disney store and got a few things to stash for Christmas...for DD I got an adorable pink hoodie with the princesses on the back and a Minnie shirt/short set. For DS I got a Wall-E Tshirt. I also got some cute character plates for the kids on clearance for $1.12 each!!! Maybe they'll eat their veggies now!

Having off work this week is really putting a dent in my budget
While I was at the Disney Store the CM was telling me what great deals they had at the outlets. Farther to drive but well worth it! I can't believe the sales I got today!

We are going to be at WDW Jan 7-16th. My dh and I enjoy taking each of our grandkids to our favorite place when they turn 4. So in January we are taking 5th grandchild Christian. Christian's parents just can't be left in Kansas so they are going with us and bringing Christians younger brother who will be nearly 2 at the time. Christians dad is going to run the 1/2 marathon while we are there. Our resort reservations aren't booked yet but we are getting really close so that we will be able to reserve dining in October. I think we are going to choose ASsp. DH & I prefer the moderates but we are happy in the value resorts and DD and DSIL would prefer to spend $$ on other things than a room to sleep in! I sure would like to see a good special for January!!!!

Shelley - Congrats on the house selling/buying! It also looks like you've chosen a resort - POR? That's great, and on our list as well. We were looking at renting DVC points, but not sure, it would save me $, but there are stricter cancellations rules!

Meghan- Hope your Birthday trip was great, glad to hear you loved POP and were able to stay onsite!
I can't wait for your TR and see and hear more about it!

I am hoping to book my flight and room in the next 2 weeks. This time last year that was all done and my days planned out! This year I can't even pick a resort... maybe because last years deal changed my resort, so I learnt anything can change!

Yep, we are pretty set on giving POR a try. Hope we love it!

I looked into renting points and was very close to doing it, but that's exactly why I backed out - once it's booked there's no cancelling. It's just too risky with DH's job and the economy. Plus with kids anything can happen!

It's too bad though, I could have gotten BCV for $10 a point. Oh well, maybe another time!

SO to book ADR's 90+10 days out, I'm guessing they have to be able to pull up your reservation?? I'm thinking before I've called for ADR's before I've even booked my trip (but probably when it was 180 days or whatever it was and I wasn't booking THAT far out).

Yep, you have to have your ressie # to do the 90+10 thing. Otherwise you would have to call back each day 90 days from that day.

Well I'm starting to really plan out my January 2010 trip. The only problem is that I need to figure out who's going! I'll be 20 years old for this vacation, and it will be my first without my parents. My brother's coming along too, we'll both be in college, so we'll be on winter break. The big problem is my cousin, who's still in high school. She says she can go and that missing a few days of school is no problem, but I have a huge hunch her dad doesn't know about these plans. So, I'm hoping to work something out on July 4th and have a little more confirmation about what's happening on this trip. Obviously I haven't booked anything, but I can't wait to get started!
