So we almost missed the due date for the balance to be paid on our vacation. Yesterday it dawned on me and my husband that the rest of our money for our vacation package was due THAT VERY DAY. We called reservations and gave them our card info. Whew!!!! Glad we remembered. I was really surprized that Disney didn't send us any invoice or notice (usually they do). So anyway disaster was overted and all is good. I can't wait. we arrive on January 22nd. Yippie!!! My 2 year old son keeps telling me "Momma I want to go to Disney World". And then I tell him "soon, very soon".

Hey all! Been a few weeks since I posted, but just wanted to share my excitement....bear with me here

Long story as short as possible: my whole family (my parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother, respective SIL & BIL, 3 neices, 1 nephew) had planned on going to WDW in December 2009 to celebrate my brother's 3rd deployment (this time to Afghanistan). For one reason or another, the trip fell through, so DH and I planned our January trip to celebrate our DD's birthday. We always kept the trip open, and let people know that if they wanted to come along, they were invited. Well, I'm excited and happy to say that my sister, BIL, nephew (5), and neice (1) have decided to join us in January! I'm really excited because my sister is my best friend, and our husbands & kids get along great. Also, best of all, her & her husband haven't gone since we were kids, my nephew's never been, and he's SO excited My husband and I are so excited and really kind of honored to be able to share this magical moment with them. Does that make us dorks that we're so happy to share such an awesome time in a child's life? I really hope the rest of my family jumps on the bandwagon. I feel kind of bad because my brother has 2 girls that would be just the PERFECT age (8 and 3). My SIL has always just been kind of "if we go, we go, if we don't, we don't" I don't get that attitude, but that's just me. Apparently my neice found out that her cousins were joining us, and she had a jealous cry this afternoon. How sad does that make you feel? My husband and I did tell my bro that if they paid for her trip, we'd gladly take her without her parents, but they didn't bite. *sigh* I'm SO excited, but also a little sad for the girls at the same time....


Thanks for reading guys, just had to share my excitement/feelings with others. Sorry for the rambling post!!

4 weeks from today we leave...wow. I haven't been on the boards in ages. Everyone is so busy now and I have my daughters 6th birthday party on Sunday.

I am so laid back about this trip. Normally by now I would have started to get stuff together. I decided I am not going to pack at all until the week before when I can check the forecast. I am also going to do soemthing I have never done before...I am not going to check any bags

All of us are going to bring a roll on suitcase to carry on the plane and a back pack. I always pack way too much stuff and every time I hate it so I am simplifying..wish me luck. We have a washer and dryer in our villa so I am only bringing 4 outfits per person..we'll see how this goes and if I actually do it

I got a package, too. Can someone tell me what a "ME Package" is to be exact? LOL. I'm wracking my brain, but not coming up with anything.

I had to chuckle at getting luggage tags. This will be the very first time we don't have to fly to Disney, so we don't need them. We moved from PA to SC, so we're just going to drive down. The luggage tags are super cute, though and I'll save them for some other time.

My reservation has our transfers for ME for our arrival and departure on the proper dates....but it does not list a time. I believe I already gave them our flight numbers.

So how do some others already know their ME time? We have not received anything in the mail yet. Will the ME times be on the vouchers we receive in the mail?

Even though I had put our flights into the ME online it didn't print on our ME document. I called them and gave them the info again to make sure we had it. She said it hadn't downloaded??? I think people only know an aprox. ME time because they don't give you the info till you are there. Usually the ME picks you up about 3 hours before your flight. Give or take 10-15 minutes. You will get a hang tag on your resort door a day or so before your departure.
